Summary: This study analyzed the expression of DCN and its potential regulatory ncRNAs in metastatic colorectal carcinoma (CRC). The results showed insignificant upregulation of DCN and significant upregulation for miR-200c, MALAT1, lncTCF7, and ZFAS1 in the metastases compared to the primary tumor. miR-200c showed a positive correlation with DCN, and the mentioned ncRNAs exhibited a significant positive correlation with miR-200c expression in metastatic CRC.

Summary: In this study, we found that the expression of decorin was significantly lower in bladder urothelial carcinoma, and it was correlated with the expression of TGF-beta 1. Furthermore, decorin regulated the expression of TGF-beta 1 and MMP2 through p21 protein, promoting apoptosis and adhesion, and inhibiting the proliferation and metastasis of BC cells.

Summary: Studies have shown that LINC00470 enhances the expression of APEX1 in melanoma by activating the transcription factor ZNF131, thereby promoting the proliferation and migration of melanoma cells. This suggests that LINC00470 may be a potential therapeutic target for the treatment of melanoma.

Summary: The study indicated that a derivative of Houttuynia cordata (SNH) promoted pyroptosis in non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) cells by up-regulating a novel lncRNA (TCONS-14036) and activating the TCONS-14036/miR-1228-5p/PRKCDBP pathway. This finding offers a potential therapeutic target for NSCLC.

Summary: The aim of this study was to identify DCS mRNAs-lncRNAs associated with chemotherapy response and prognosis in gastric cancer patients. A prognostic signature including 11 lncRNAs was constructed using LASSO regression. The signature was validated and found to be an effective prognostic factor, and it was also able to predict chemotherapy drug response and immune infiltration in GC patients. Furthermore, knockdown of LINC00106 or UBE2R2-AS1 enhanced the proliferation and migration of GC cells in vitro. Overall, this DCS therapy-related lncRNA signature may serve as a new strategy for predicting chemotherapy response and prognosis in GC patients, and LINC00106 and UBE2R2-AS1 may have a tumor suppressive function in GC.

Summary: Designing optimal adjuvant therapy is crucial in treating non-small-cell lung carcinoma. Standard methods may not be effective in cases with high level of CTCs, thus alternative therapeutic strategies like low-toxicity natural agents may be considered when standard methods fail. This review discusses NSCLC therapy strategies and potential options for treatment beyond standard methods.

Summary: This study identified lncNAP1L6 as an oncogene in prostate cancer (PCa) and suggested it as a potential therapeutic target. Functional assays revealed that lncNAP1L6 promotes cell migration, invasion, and epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT) in PCa. Mechanism assays showed that lncNAP1L6 regulates NAP1L2 mRNA stability through METTL14/METTL3 complex-mediated m6A methylation and interacts with YY1 to activate MMP signaling pathway.
