Summary: The study revealed that the drainage capacity of permeable pavements follows a parabolic exponential attenuation law. By examining the road water storage capacity, the latest pavement maintenance time at different rainfall levels was obtained, allowing for more accurate decisions compared to regular time intervals to address drainage issues caused by multiple factors.

Summary: The study aims to identify the factors affecting pavement performance and rank them according to importance using the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP). The findings show that unconsidered heavy vehicles volume is the most critical factor affecting pavement performance, followed by low asphalt content leading to binder aging and reduced fatigue life of the pavement.

Summary: Industry 4.0, also known as the Fourth Industrial Revolution, has the potential to revolutionize industries by developing a fully automated and digitally integrated production system. However, implementing this transformation requires significant resources and may face challenges in adapting existing technology. Researchers propose integrating the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) with q-spherical fuzzy rough sets to prioritize Industry 4.0 projects. A novel framework combining AHP and q-spherical fuzzy rough sets is presented in this article, which produces robust and competitive results compared to other multi-criteria decision-making approaches.

Summary: Maintenance procedures are used to slow down road pavement deterioration, but developing an effective maintenance plan while considering the budget is a challenging task. This study presents a multi-criteria decision-making model to prioritize the regular maintenance and rehabilitation of road pavement. The model uses the Analytic Hierarchy Process method to calculate the weight of criteria and generate an overall index for each road, allowing for prioritization of maintenance based on available budget.

Summary: This paper proposes a new methodology for prioritizing strategies using a fuzzy Multiple Criteria Decision Making approach. A case study in an aircraft maintenance unit showed that the "Financial" criterion and the sub-criterion of "Competitiveness and Improving Customer Satisfaction" were the most critical ones. The weights of the main criteria obtained were closer to the actual conditions due to the internal relations between the criteria and sub-criteria in the fuzzy MCDM and the opinions of experts.

Summary: In this study, the Gusru river watershed in India was divided into 14 sub-watersheds, and 14 morphometric parameters were calculated to assess soil erosion susceptibility. The combination of picture fuzzy-analytic hierarchy process and picture fuzzy-linear assignment model was used to assign weights and rank the sub-watersheds. The results showed that sub-watersheds 11 and 2 were most susceptible to soil erosion, while sub-watersheds 13 and 14 had the lowest susceptibility.

Summary: Risk management is crucial for ensuring the safety and efficiency of tunnel construction. This study developed an advanced tunnel risk management model using the analytic hierarchy process and fuzzy set theory to prioritize hazardous zones and devise an optimal countermeasure plan. The model showed that significant tunnel convergence and excavation of unstable ground formations posed high risks. Adopting a shield tunnel boring machine or implementing ground reinforcement is recommended for these vulnerable locations. Overall, the developed model effectively prioritizes hazardous zones and contributes to the overall safety and efficiency of tunnel operations.

Summary: This study comprehensively investigated and evaluated the emission of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) from co-processing cement kilns. Sampling and analysis of a typical co-processing cement kiln in Beijing, China revealed that aromatic compounds and oxygen-containing VOCs were the most abundant, with benzene and acrolein having high concentrations. The Fuzzy Analytic Hierarchy Process (F-AHP) was used to prioritize VOCs, with alkenes being the category of highest priority and acrolein being the most important VOC in the emitted gas.

Summary: This study presents a fuzzy mathematical analysis called FAHP for evaluating and prioritizing pavement condition assessment (PCA) by considering functional and structural evaluation of pavement as well as traffic volume. The proposed FAHP software, developed using Python, utilizes four performance indicators (PCI, characteristic deflection, IRI, and CVPD) to calculate a Fuzzy Pavement Priority Index (FPPI) for selected stretches of highways. The results show that the collected data is an effective estimator for prioritizing stretches for maintenance and rehabilitation (M&R) purposes.

Summary: Mapping the susceptibility of earthquake-induced soil liquefaction at a continental scale is a difficult task, as detailed geotechnical field investigations are lacking. This study aims to assess the susceptibility in Europe using geospatial parameters weighted via the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP). The outcome is a novel Liquefaction Susceptibility map of Europe (LSE).

Summary: This research reviews different decision models for determining the priority order of transportation infrastructure projects and uses the AHP model to prioritize railway reconstruction projects in the Iranian railway network. By considering criteria such as reconstruction cost, train speed restriction, allowable speed, railway capacity, traffic, time, and railway track quality, the Jalalabad-Golezard block in the Kerman and Southeastern regions of Iranian Railways was identified as the top priority for reconstruction.

Summary: This paper aims to assist asset owners in selecting the equipment maintenance package at the warranty termination time by proposing the shape package process (SPP), which facilitates the choice between multiple packages based on cost and risk considerations. The main novelty lies in introducing two new parameters, the risk reduction factor (RRF) and the value-added indicator (VAI), to compare maintenance packages. Additionally, the suggested process maps the risk profile associated with each package, enabling a cost-cutting process by identifying and eliminating tasks with less value and risk mitigation.
