Summary: Previous research has shown that depression and personality are associated with self- and informant-reports of instrumental activities of daily living (IADLs). However, the relationship between depression, personality, and performance-based measures of IADLs is not well-known. This study found that depression and personality more strongly predict self- and informant-reports of IADLs compared to performance-based measures. Instead, performance-based measures were more influenced by demographics and global cognition.
