Summary: The study found that CBLB502 reduces liver damage in ischemia-reperfusion injury and ConA-induced immuno-hepatitis by activating NF-kappa B and STAT3 signaling pathways. IL-22 enhances CBLB502's protective effects through cooperation, increasing hepatocyte resistance to acute liver injury.

Summary: Identifying effective biomarker-based phytochemicals from medicinal plants is a promising strategy to protect against liver injury. The combination of Vitis vinifera L. (VE) leaf and Centella asiatica (CE) extract (VCEC) shows synergistic protective effects against CCl4-induced acute liver injury in mice.

Summary: Alliance contracting is introduced in pre-construction to improve joint ventures, while Lean reduces waste in preconstruction and construction processes. The combination of Alliance and Lean practices in construction projects enhances quality, transparency, and productivity, leading to their adoption by researchers and organizations. However, the integration of Lean and Alliance has not been thoroughly studied. This investigation focuses on the Indian construction industry and employs factor analysis, Structural Equation Modelling (SEM), and the weighted average method to explore the synergistic effect. The study identifies stakeholder commitment and work transparency as barriers and benefits of Alliance Lean integration. The hypothesis of the study supports the effectiveness of integrating Alliance with Lean methodology, proposing its application to improve construction project delivery.

Summary: The combination treatment of high dose LEP-2b with silymarin showed better hepatoprotective effects in reducing serum markers, liver inflammation, and improving antioxidant status compared to mono-therapy, with significant impact on TNF-alpha expression. This combination therapy also had a significant impact on the JNK/p38 signaling pathway associated with TNF-alpha, which was linked to inhibiting hepatocyte apoptosis.

Summary: Our study investigated the effects of combined treatment with 1,2-dichloroethane (1,2-DCE) and high dose ethanol on liver and the mechanisms. The findings revealed that the combined treatment synergistically upregulated CYP2E1 levels, leading to liver damage through oxidative stress. It also triggered inflammasome activation and inflammatory responses, and resulted in insufficient protection from antioxidant defense systems.

Summary: This study investigated the phosphate solubilization and mineralization mechanism of a Pb-tolerant strain Ochrobactrum sp. J023. The strain secreted organic acids and acid phosphatase that synergistically promoted phosphate dissolution. The extracellular polymeric substances (EPS) provided protection to the strain by chelating Pb(II) and preventing its penetration into the cell. The formation of mineralized precipitation was induced by the complexation of metal cations and cell surface groups under the catalysis of enzymes.

Summary: This study investigated the presence and concentrations of lead (Pb) and chromium (Cr) in road paints from 236 samples collected from various locations in eleven European countries. The results showed high concentrations of Pb and Cr, with the presence of other lead-based pigments in some paints. Despite significant international differences, road paints containing Pb and Cr remain a pervasive environmental problem and potential health risk in European countries.
