A mathematical model of hydrate formation in the Freon R-142B-water system was developed; the problem of process optimization was solved using the throughput of the reactor with respect to gas hydrate as a criterion. The maximum throughput of the reactor, with respect to gas hydrate of 1086 kg/(m(3) h), was found to be attained at a temperature of 8A degrees C and pressure of 0.9 atm at the specified charge of 10 m(3)/h.
