Summary: In this study, we investigated the coordination modes of half-sandwich iridium(III) and rhodium(III) complexes based on pyridine-amine ligands. By varying the reaction conditions and the structure of the metal and ligand, we obtained different coordination modes. We found that reaction in the presence of oxygen yielded oxidized pyridyl-imine complexes, and the introduction of bulky groups led to the formation of stable 16-electron pyridyl-amido complexes. The stability in aqueous solution and cytotoxicity towards human cancer cells were also evaluated.

Summary: Iron-catalyzed organic reactions have limitations compared to precious metal catalysts. This research develops novel iron complexes that can catalyze specific hydrosilylation reactions and provides insight into the mechanism. The crowded environment around the iron center plays a crucial role in the selectivity.

Summary: In this study, a series of bio-based captodative ligands were designed and synthesized to replace controversial phosphine oxides commonly used in the polymerization of Elium, successfully reducing the curing time. The investigation of the redox properties of manganese(iii) complexes revealed the impact of captodative ligands on the reduction potential.

Summary: The efficiency and mechanism of bisphenol A (BPA) degradation by pyrophosphate (PP)-assisted MnO2 in the presence of Mn2+ were investigated. The results showed that the MnO2/PP/Mn2+ system effectively removed BPA, with Mn2+ playing a bridging, reductive, and catalytic role in the process. Additionally, certain substituted ligands exhibited higher activity than citrate when activating MnO2 with Mn2+.

Summary: Amido-zincates containing hydrides are a promising yet underexplored class of complexes. Synthesis attempts through Zn-C/H-BPin exchange resulted in preferential formation of amide-BPin or (amide-BPin(Y)](-) species, highlighting the need for further research on more selective zincate exchange reactions utilizing amido-organozincates.

Summary: An aptasensor for bisphenol A detection was developed based on a poly (propylene imine) dendrimer-carbon nanofiber nanocomposite immobilisation platform. The sensor showed good sensitivity and selectivity towards BPA, with detection limits of 0.03 and 0.06 nM from differential pulse voltammetry and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy, respectively. Real sample analysis in water samples demonstrated recoveries between 91.8% and 100.3% with good stability and repeatability.

Summary: Radical-based functionalization-oriented construction (FoC) is a powerful method for the direct synthesis of imine-containing azaarene derivatives. In this study, a novel FoC method was developed for the direct synthesis of highly functionalized pyrroles. This method involves the reaction of α-amino acids with easily accessible α/β-azaarene-substituted enones under visible light irradiation and with the presence of p-toluenesulfonic acid as an additive.

Summary: In this study, a method for synthesizing oxazoles from widely available and inexpensive starting materials such as esters and amino alcohols was reported. The reaction proceeds through the liberation of hydrogen and the use of a molecular manganese catalyst which showed high efficiency. Most of the synthesized oxazole derivatives are novel compounds.

Summary: Chiral transition metal complexes with privileged ligands are efficient catalysts for various asymmetric organic transformations. Transition metal complexes of C1-symmetric pyrrolidine-based ligands have been widely used in asymmetric organic reactions. However, a comprehensive review article on the transition metal complexes of chiral C1-symmetric pyrrolidine-based ligands derived from (L)-proline has not been published.
