The disulfidation reactions of alkenes with disulfides were thoroughly investigated in this paper. Using H(2)O or DCE as the solvent, most reactions occurred smoothly to give the corresponding disulfidated products in good to high yields at room temperature within 12 h. (C) 2011 Elsevier Ltd.
