A new and highly regioselective arylation of 2-arylbenzoxazoles based on C-H activation has been developed. The results represent the first examples of palladium-catalyzed direct ortho-arylation of 2-arylbenzoxazoles and also provide a facile route for the synthesis of complicated structures containing arylated benzoxazoles moieties. Feed-in tariff policy for biomass power generation: Incorporating the feedstock acquisition process

Yanan Li, Jun Lin, Yanjun Qian, Dehong Li

Summary: This study uses a game-theoretic approach to analyze the optimal government Feed-in Tariff (FiT) for biomass power plants and the impact of biomass feedstock competition and independent suppliers. The findings suggest that government should subsidize biomass power plants with high competitiveness, and the involvement of independent suppliers reduces the efficiency of the subsidy.

Numerical Investigation on the Hydrodynamic Response of Pentamaran-Resistance Analysis of Different Outrigger Inclination Angles

Pengwei Hu, Ying Cui, Chenyu Zhao, Yanan Li, Boyang Li

Summary: This study analyzes the influence of the front outrigger inclination angle on the resistance of the pentamaran using CFD method and predicts the resistance of the pentamaran in static water and waves using the unsteady RANS equation. The influence of the front outrigger inclination angle on the resistance performance of the pentamaran under different working conditions is calculated and discussed. Further analysis is conducted on the influence of the change of the front outrigger inclination angle on the resistance, and the effects of free surface wave-making and hull pressure are discussed. The results indicate that adjusting the front outrigger inclination angle can reduce the resistance of the pentamaran.

Covalent-Coupled Zn0.4Cd0.6S with g-C3N4 as a Sheet-on-Sheet Z -Scheme Photocatalyst for Water Splitting

Yanan Li, Yan Wang, Wei Wang, Xiao Yu, Li Zhang, Liu Deng, You-Nian Liu

Summary: Development of heterojunction is an effective strategy to enhance the hydrogen production performance of photocatalysts. In this study, a 2D/2D Z-scheme heterojunction-coupled Zn0.4Cd0.6S with g-C3N4 was fabricated using in situ hydrothermal approach. The sheet-on-sheet architecture allowed full contact of heterojunction, facilitating interfacial charge transfer and increasing surface-active sites. Moreover, the Zn-N coordination bond provided a strong interfacial interaction and spatially separated photogenerated charges along the Z-scheme mechanism. The optimal photocatalyst exhibited high hydrogen production rates (7.69 mmol g-1 h-1) under visible-light irradiation without any cocatalysts, four times higher than the g-C3N4 photocatalyst with Pt as a cocatalyst. The catalyst also showed long-term stability of up to 50 hours. Thus, a direct Z-scheme heterojunction with intimate contact and a well-definite bridging chemical bond holds promise for hydrogen generation.

cMWCNT/CoHCF/AuNPs nanocomposites aptasensor for electrochemical detection of interleukin-6

Yanan Li, Xin Hua, Jiajia Wang, Baokang Jin

Summary: A novel electrochemical sensing platform was developed for sensitive detection of interleukin 6 (IL-6). The label-free aptasensor was fabricated by modifying the glassy carbon electrode (GCE) with a nanocomposite of carboxylated multi-walled carbon nanotubes (cMWCNTs), cobalt hex-acyanoferrate (CoHCF), and gold nanoparticles (AuNPs). The nanocomposite enhanced electron transfer rate, increased intercalation of signaling molecules, and allowed immobilization of biomolecules. The aptasensor demonstrated good electrochemical characteristics and biocompatibility, with a linear range from 0.5 pg/mL to 1000 pg/mL and a low detection limit of 0.17 pg/mL. It also exhibited selectivity, stability, and reproducibility, making it suitable for clinical research and diagnostic applications.

Fuying Zhu, Yamei Lin

Summary: In this study, a low-metal iron-supported catalyst (Fe20/NC-Mg) was reported for the efficient synthesis of quinoxaline compounds, using water as a solvent and without additional bases. The synergistic effect of FeNx site and Mg (OH)2 nanorods in the catalyst played a key role in achieving high yields (82-91%) in 16 examples. The gram-level synthesis and reusability of the catalysts after four cycles demonstrated its industrial application potential.
