CuS nanoparticles in different sizes and shapes were synthesized by electrolysis of a copper plate as anode in sodium sulfide aqueous solutions. The results revealed that size and shape of the product could be tuned by the reaction parameters including electrolysis voltage and sulfide ion concentration as reactant. The results showed that the size of CuS nanoparticles decreased with increasing electrolysis voltage from 2 to 13V. Meanwhile, the size and shape of the prepared CuS nanoparticles were found to be dependent on the concentration of sulfide solution used. Also, the results of characterization of the prepared CuS nanoparticles were reported.
