Four complexes, [Cd(H2PIDC)(2)(2,2'-bipy)] (1), [Ni(H2PIDC)(2) (H2O)(2)]center dot 4H(2)O (2), [Co(H2PIDC)(2)(H2O)(2)] (3), and [Mn(H2PIDC)(2)(H2O)(2)] (4) have been hydro(solvo)thermally synthesized by reactions of 2-propyl-1H-imidazole-4,5-dicarboxylic acid (H3PIDC) with Cd(II), Ni(II), Co(II), and Mn(II) ions, respectively. Their crystal structures have been characterized by single X-ray determination. The thermal properties of the four complexes have been determined as well.
