NOTES: Transvaginal for cancer diagnostic staging: Preliminary clinical application

Laparoscopy is now a reliable method for staging gastrointestinal cancer, orienting the therapy, and avoiding unnecessary laparotomy. Informed consent and Institutional Commission approval were obtained for transvaginal clinical trials.
