Summary: A retrospective study was conducted to evaluate the benefits of delayed versus early resection in patients with complicated ileal Crohn's disease undergoing ICR. The results showed that a cool off delayed resectional approach did not reduce perioperative complications.

Summary: LICR appears to be a safe option for Crohn's disease patients with certain risk factors, such as low BMI and low serum albumin levels. The addition of a diverting ileostomy, however, does not seem to reduce morbidity rates associated with the surgery.

Summary: The study compared short- and long-term outcomes of patients undergoing laparoscopic ileocolic resection (LICR) and open ileocolic resection (OICR) for Crohn's disease, finding that LICR resulted in better short-term outcomes and faster postoperative recovery, with no significant differences in long-term outcomes.

Summary: In incisional ventral hernias with wall defects up to 15 cm wide, laparoscopic repair seems to be as safe and effective as open techniques, with no long-term differences in recurrence and reoperation rates or global quality of life, although lack of statistical power does not allow definitive conclusions on equivalence between alternatives.

Summary: This study aims to analyze the impact of extensive mesenteric resection surgery on the recurrence rate of Crohn's disease (CD) by conducting a randomized controlled trial to compare the effectiveness of two surgical procedures. The findings of this study would provide valuable insights into the clinical relevance of extensive mesenteric resection in the treatment of CD.

Summary: In this randomized trial comparing laparoscopic and open liver surgery for patients with colorectal liver metastases, there was no significant difference in survival outcomes between the two treatment groups. However, variability in 5-year overall survival rates by up to about 10 percentage points was observed.

Summary: This study assessed the long-term outcomes of robotic-assisted (RALF) and conventional laparoscopic fundoplication (CLF) in treating patients with gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD). The results showed no significant differences between RALF and CLF in terms of symptoms, quality of life, and treatment failure after 12 years.

Summary: The laparoscopic approach did not significantly improve the quality of care for resectable ICC patients compared to open surgery, with lower rates of lymph node dissection and adjusted textbook outcome in laparoscopic resection.

Summary: This study investigated the clinical and radiological differences between subfascial and subglandular pockets following primary breast augmentation. Findings showed that subfascial breast augmentation was superior to subglandular breast augmentation in terms of breast shape and contour, capsular contracture, implant base, and the number of folds.

Summary: This retrospective study compared the short-term postoperative outcomes of intracorporeal versus extracorporeal anastomosis in robotic ileocolic resections for Crohn's Disease. The results showed that patients with intracorporeal anastomosis had a faster return to bowel function, despite longer operative time, with no significant differences in complication rates and length of stay between the two groups. Further studies are needed to confirm the benefits of intracorporeal anastomosis in ileocolic resections for Crohn's Disease.

Summary: The study compared the outcomes of laparoscopic versus open surgery for treating LACC and found similar overall survival and recurrence-free survival rates with both approaches, but differences in peritoneal recurrence. Careful patient selection in choosing the surgical approach is recommended.
