Summary: Adolescents are a growing proportion of low and middle-income country populations, and their coming of age is vital for health behavior and social citizenship. A mapping of intervention areas for adolescent sexual and reproductive health showed that most interventions take place outside of the health sector, with varying degrees of alignment across sectors impacting effectiveness. Governance approaches are crucial for managing these multisectoral relationships and interactions in adolescent health action.

Summary: The study found erratic distribution of coverage in CCI and Co-Cov across wealth quintiles and state groups, with Haryana having the highest Relative Index of Inequality value. Essential interventions like antenatal care services and skilled birth attendants were the most inequitable, while tetanus toxoid and BCG were the least inequitable. Spearman's rank correlation matrix showed a strong and positive correlation between governance indicators and coverage indices.

Summary: Noncommunicable diseases (NCDs) and maternal newborn and child health (MNCH) are closely related areas that have been artificially separated in global health policies and resource allocations. Optimal MNCH care provides an opportunity to address early signs of NCDs in both mothers and newborns. Integrated management is necessary, but faces challenges at all levels of the healthcare system. Joining forces is crucial for achieving Sustainable Development targets.

Summary: The objective of this study was to identify knowledge translation strategies aimed at improving sexual, reproductive, maternal, newborn, child and adolescent health and well-being. A rapid scoping review was conducted, and the results showed that the majority of studies focused on maternal and child health and well-being, with a limited number conducted in low-income countries. Education was the most commonly identified intervention component, and low-income and middle-income countries were more likely to include civil society organisations, government, and policymakers as stakeholders.

Summary: The impact of COVID-19 on reproductive, maternal, and newborn health (RMNH) services in Ethiopia in the early stages of the pandemic was assessed using survey data. The study found little disruption in RMNH services, but an increased stillbirth rate was observed in the COVID-19 affected cohort. The government's response to control the pandemic and ensure continuity of essential health services appeared to be successful in averting most negative impacts on maternal and neonatal care.

Summary: This study analyzed the trends and determinants of postnatal care (PNC) utilization in Pakistan from 2006 to 2018. The results showed an upward linear trend in maternal PNC utilization, but a non-linear trend in newborn PNC utilization. Factors such as age, education, employment, decision-making autonomy, delivery method, and skilled birth attendance were associated with higher PNC utilization. The study suggested the need to promote the benefits of PNC and plan effective interventions to improve access to healthcare facilities and skilled birth assistance.

Summary: Private healthcare sector in the Eastern Mediterranean Region (EMR) plays a crucial role in delivering reproductive, maternal, newborn, child, and adolescent health (RMNCAH) services, but collaboration with the public sector faces challenges. The private sector lacks capacity in collecting and sharing health information. Despite some issues, the private sector remains the predominant provider of RMNCAH services in the region.
