Summary: The study found that the properties of nanocomposites were dependent on the concentration of CNTs. Nanocomposites fabricated in a quasi-AC electric field showed more uniform and non-agglomerated characteristics. With 1 wt% of CNT, the nanocomposite exhibited suitable electrical conductivity and mechanical properties for microfluidic devices.

Summary: In this study, a nano-bimetallic platinum/nickel composite on multi-walled carbon nanotubes (nano-Pt/Ni@MWCNT) was prepared as electrode material. The nano-Pt/Ni particles were anchored on the surface of the MWCNT, providing a large specific surface area and enhanced electrical conductivity. A flow-injection amperometric system using nano-Pt/Ni@MWCNT/GCE was utilized for electrochemical determination of promethazine (PMZ), with excellent reproducibility and interference tolerance. The viability of the nano-Pt/Ni@MWCNT/GCE was demonstrated for PMZ detection in spiked saliva, urine, and beverage samples, with high recoveries.
