Summary: Hemolymphangioma is a rare benign tumor that commonly occurs in the head and neck, but primary spermatic cord hemolymphangioma is extremely rare. Diagnosis can be challenging due to its rarity. A 15-year-old boy presented with scrotal complaints, and ultrasound revealed a cystic mass in the left spermatic cord region. He underwent surgery and was diagnosed with spermatic cord hemolymphangioma. After 1-month follow-up, there was no recurrence. This case highlights the importance of raising awareness for the diagnosis of spermatic cord hemolymphangioma in clinical practice.

Summary: Testicular cancer, a prevalent malignancy in young men, can be distinguished using sonoelastography, a technique that characterizes tissue stiffness. This review summarizes studies on the diagnostic accuracy of sonoelastography in identifying benign and malignant lesions in the testes. The pooled sensitivity of classifying malignancy and benignity was 86.0%.

Summary: This study aimed to assess the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the presentation of testicular torsion and the frequency of orchiectomy. The results showed that there was no increase in the number of testicular torsion cases during the COVID-19 outbreak, and the rates of orchiectomy did not significantly differ between the patients with testicular torsion presenting during the pandemic.

Summary: Testicular cancer is a rare tumor with increasing incidence globally. The majority of cases are non-germ and germ cell tumors, with the latter further divided into seminomatous and non-seminomatous germ cell tumors. While ultrasound remains primary for diagnosis, MRI is recommended for challenging cases, providing additional information.

Summary: Acute scrotal pain can be caused by various pathological conditions, some of which are related to the scrotal contents while others are from non-scrotal causes. In patients with normal scrotal ultrasound findings, consideration of an ultrasound investigation of the abdomen, groin, and thighs is important to identify non-scrotal causes of acute scrotal pain.

Summary: Extramammary Paget's disease (EMPD) is a rare intraepithelial malignancy, with little knowledge on imaging, especially in scrotum cases. This study reviewed a 67-year-old male with EMPD confirmed on left scrotum, utilizing conventional high-frequency ultrasound and contrast-enhanced ultrasound to assess lesion size and blood perfusion. Results showed CEUS provided more accurate depiction of lesion size and involvement compared to conventional ultrasound, highlighting the importance of multimodal imaging for accurate diagnosis and clinical decision-making in uncommon diseases like EMPD.

Summary: Angiolipoma is a rare benign tumor that can occur in the scrotum, although it is more commonly found in the skin of the trunk and limbs. Surgical resection is the preferred treatment option and has a low risk of recurrence postoperatively.

Summary: Contrast-enhanced ultrasound (CEUS) is a valuable modality for bowel imaging in both adults and children, allowing visualization of bowel wall perfusion and mesentery. It can also be used for quantitative measurements of contrast kinetics to assess bowel wall enhancement objectively. This technique is commonly applied for evaluating inflammatory bowel disease and monitoring treatment response, with emerging applications for other conditions such as necrotizing enterocolitis and appendicitis.

Summary: Although pediatric thyroid nodules are rare, they pose a higher risk of malignancy than those in adults, requiring specialized care. Current ultrasound-based risk stratification systems (RSSs) intended for adults may not be optimal for pediatric patients, with a significant proportion of malignancies not meeting criteria for fine-needle aspiration (FNA) according to their recommendations.

Summary: Based on the analysis of retrospective studies, it was found that a small percentage of pediatric patients with acute epididymitis had bacterial etiology, and a majority of these patients received antibiotic therapy. Therefore, practitioners should carefully consider prescribing antibiotics only to patients with abnormal urinalysis or urine culture results.
