Summary: The coincident detection of GW170817 in gravitational waves and electromagnetic radiation provided direct evidence of short gamma-ray bursts originating from binary neutron star mergers. Through high-energy observations such as in the case of GRB 160821B, we can gain better insight into the nature and origin of short GRBs, particularly those associated with BNS mergers. Further studies and future observations in the GeV-TeV bands are crucial for advancing our understanding in this field.

Summary: The radiation mechanism and jet composition of gamma-ray bursts (GRBs) are still unresolved issues, and studying the energy spectrum characteristics of GRBs can provide evidence. This study used Bayesian methods to analyze the time-resolved spectra of GRB 180720B, finding that the addition of a thermal spectral component significantly improved the fit statistics. The results suggest that the energy spectrum characteristics of GRBs support a transition of the jet component from material dominance to magnetic dominance.

Summary: The study reports on the observations of four well-localized binary black hole (BBH) mergers by H.E.S.S., which did not detect significant signals from point sources and set upper limits on gamma-ray emissions. The detected GW events have low isotropic luminosity, and it is expected that H.E.S.S. will be able to observe over 60 GW events annually in the future GW observing runs.

Summary: Models of chemical enrichment and inhomogeneity in high-redshift galaxies are difficult to observe and constrain; a novel method using GRB afterglow and emission-line metallicity to probe chemical inhomogeneities in galaxies is discussed; observationally constrained processes in theoretical models can provide insights into chemical enrichment in cosmological simulations.

Summary: The motion of cosmic strings generates wakes behind them, and we studied the magnetized wakes of cosmic strings in the postrecombination plasma. We found that magnetic reconnection occurs in the postshock region, releasing a large amount of kinetic energy. This release of energy during reconnection can account for low-energy gamma-ray bursts in the postrecombination era.

Summary: By using mixed bivariate distributions and bootstrap re-sampling analysis, the samples of gamma-ray bursts were analyzed in detail. The results show that the samples have symmetric distributions and tend to have three classes of gamma-ray bursts, although this preference varies with the sample size.

Summary: This study investigates the conversion probability of high-energy photons from the gamma ray burst GRB221009A and explores the influence of magnetic field parameters from the source galaxy on this probability. Summary: This study updates and enlarges the long gamma-ray burst (GRB) sample detected by the Swift satellite, reevaluates the GRB luminosity function (LF) and redshift distribution, and finds that a strong redshift evolution in luminosity or density is required to account for the observations. Additionally, the study shows that the triple power-law LF evolution model is statistically preferred over the broken power-law LF evolution model.

Summary: By studying multiflare gamma-ray bursts, it was found that they have positive lags with lag times greater than pulses, suggesting the existence of other physical mechanisms. Summary: We analyzed two distinct samples of gamma-ray bursts (GRBs), one with radio afterglow emission and one without. Using an updated sample of 211 GRBs, we found that the intrinsic gamma-ray duration (T-int) and isotropic equivalent energy (E-iso) distributions differ significantly between the two populations. We also observed a statistically significant anticorrelation between the jet opening angle and redshift, as well as between T-int and redshift, for both radio-bright and radio-dark GRBs.

Summary: By analyzing the impact of high-energy gamma-ray burst afterglow photons on planetary atmospheres, we found a small depletion in ozone and a slight enhancement of muon flux at the planet's surface. Overall, the additional afterglow emissions, including TeV photons, do not have a significantly larger impact compared to previous studies.
