Summary: The true severity of COVID-19 infection is underestimated due to limited testing, with serological assays providing better estimates of SARS-CoV-2 prevalence in the population. Implementing large sero-surveys in Canada faces logistical challenges, but dried blood spot sampling offers a practical solution for strengthening public health policy in response to the pandemic.

Summary: Population-level immune surveillance, including serosurveys, is crucial for public health decision-making during a pandemic. Serosurveys can provide valuable information on the prevalence of antibodies, distinguish infection and vaccine-induced immune responses, and guide vaccine distribution and booster dose needs.

Summary: This study aimed to assess the prevalence and factors associated with sexual concerns and distress among women living with HIV in Canada. The results showed a high prevalence of sexual concerns, particularly in areas related to relationships, sexual self-esteem, and emotional aspects of sex. Additionally, a significant proportion of women reported severe distress about these concerns. Factors such as sexual dissatisfaction and HIV-related stigma were associated with higher odds of reporting sexual concerns, while better mental health and support from individuals living with HIV were protective factors against severe distress. The study emphasizes the importance of addressing women's sexual well-being and considering their social and relational contexts to uphold their sexual rights.
