Summary: A study on health-related quality of life (HRQoL) in subjects with hypothyroidism compared to those without hypothyroidism in the general population found that individuals with hypothyroidism reported more issues with sleep and social isolation, regardless of thyroperoxidase antibodies (TPO-Ab) status. Scores in other HRQoL domains were similar between the two groups.

Summary: This study aimed to explore the role of sense of coherence (SOC) in oral health. The findings showed that SOC was associated with factors such as age, education level, income, and toothbrushing habits, but not with clinical oral status. However, SOC was positively associated with self-reported oral health.

Summary: The study found that risky behaviors, gaming addiction, and family sense of coherence can predict gender with 76.5% accuracy. Risky behaviors and gaming addiction significantly contributed to gender classification, with gaming addiction having the biggest impact.

Summary: This study found significant associations between depression levels and factors such as sex, diet, body mass index (BMI), cardiovascular disease (CVD), sleep quality, and sense of coherence (SOC) in a population with cardiovascular risk. Protective effects were observed for male sex, lower BMI, no CVD, higher adherence to the Mediterranean diet, good sleep quality, and higher SOC.

Summary: Longitudinal study showed reciprocal associations between sense of coherence (SOC) and self-reported, physician-assessed health outcomes, indicating potential impact of health on SOC and vice versa. Health parameters predicted SOC more strongly at 10-year follow-up, while the direction of associations at 20-year follow-up was less consistent. More research is needed to examine predictive power of health on SOC and potential interventions.

Summary: This cross-sectional study examined the mediating role of self satisfaction in the relationship between sense of coherence, family sense of coherence, and psychological distress. The results showed that sense of coherence, family sense of coherence, and self satisfaction were negatively correlated with psychological distress, and that sense of coherence and family sense of coherence were positively correlated with self satisfaction. Self satisfaction fully mediated the relationship between family sense of coherence and psychological distress, and partially mediated the relationship between sense of coherence and psychological distress.

Summary: In this study, witnesses for block and POVM-based coherence were proposed and the necessary and sufficient conditions for constructing these witnesses were obtained. Possible realizations of some block and POVM-based coherence witnesses in experiments were also discussed, with examples of measuring block coherence witnesses based on real experimental data presented. Furthermore, the application of block coherence witnesses in a quantum-parameter estimation task was demonstrated, where the unknown parameter was estimated by measuring the block coherence witnesses when the input state is block coherent. Finally, it was proved that the quantum Fisher information of any block-incoherent state equals zero, which coincides with the result obtained from measuring block coherence witnesses.

Summary: Men were more likely to have high levels of physical activity and pay more attention to cardiovascular screening in their lifestyle profiles. Lower dispositional optimism was associated with a greater focus on cardiovascular screening. Lower comprehensibility and higher manageability in sense of coherence were linked to an unhealthy diet, sedentary lifestyle, and nonsmoking lifestyle profile.

Summary: This study investigated the awareness, current status, and barriers to the management of non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) in the general population. The study found that while most people are aware of the term NAFLD and the need for its management, there is a lack of knowledge about the potential progression of NAFLD to end-stage liver disease and new cardiovascular diseases.

Summary: The concept of sense of coherence has been widely applied in clinical nursing, showing a significant relationship between a higher sense of coherence and better emotional and psychosocial well-being, quality of life, and overall well-being. Future research should focus on rigorous intervention studies to determine if recognizing patients' degree of sense of coherence enables tailored care in clinical nursing.

Summary: The study explored perceptions of family sense of coherence among infertile couples, finding that while infertility can cause psychological strain, a strong family sense of coherence can help couples cope with the crisis. The significance of children in traditional Chinese culture provides meaning and motivation for couples to mobilize resources to manage infertility.

Summary: Place of living is an important factor for older people's lives, impacting their health and standard of living. This study aimed to examine the relationship between the place of residence and housing condition of older adults in Poland, and their sense of coherence and health problems. The findings showed a statistical dependence between the place of residence and the sense of manageability and meaningfulness. Age was also found to have an influence on the level of meaningfulness. Additionally, the type of place of residence was identified as an important personal factor affecting the sense of coherence, chronic health problems, and sense of loneliness.
