Summary: This study examined the impact of depression and anxiety on health-related quality of life (HRQoL) in different cancer groups using nationally representative US data. The results showed that cancer patients with comorbid depression and anxiety had the lowest scores in both physical and mental components of HRQoL. Moreover, cancer patients with depression and/or anxiety were more likely to have lower mental component scores compared to those with cancer only. Routine screening for depression and anxiety should be conducted by healthcare providers, and early psychiatric interventions may positively impact patients' mental well-being and HRQoL.

Summary: This study found that psychosocial factors, such as perceived social support, social functioning, and self-image, are more strongly associated with depression, anxiety, and stress in the endometriosis population than pain and medical factors. The study highlights the need for interventions targeting psychological distress in this population, focusing on the broader impact of endometriosis beyond physical symptoms. However, the limitations of cross-sectional data and self-reported information call for further research to validate the findings.

Summary: This systematic review aimed to examine the impact of high-risk conditions during pregnancy on women's coping, wellbeing, and symptoms of psychopathology. The findings showed that high-risk pregnancy negatively affects mothers' wellbeing and coping ability, while increasing symptoms of psychopathology. Preventive and supportive interventions should be implemented to empower women to have a positive outlook and control over their pregnancy.

Summary: The aim of this study was to investigate the incidence and risk factors of progestational anxiety, depression, and sleep disturbance in women with a history of recurrent pregnancy loss (RPL). The study included 663 non-pregnant RPL women, and the results showed that the incidence of anxiety, depression, and sleep disturbance in RPL women were 60.3%, 51.7%, and 31.2% respectively. Multiple miscarriages, low household income, interval since last miscarriage <6 months, and sleep disturbance were associated with the occurrence of depressive symptoms. Therefore, it is important to pay attention to the psychological state of RPL women and provide appropriate support to reduce negative emotions.

Summary: During the COVID-19 pandemic, prolonged school closures led to a substantial deterioration in youth mental health, especially among boys, younger adolescents, and families with limited living space. Family problems were identified as a major issue that adolescents struggled with when denied access to school. Overall, school closures largely explain the deterioration of youth mental health over the first pandemic wave.
