Summary: In this study, Y-zeolite was used as the stationary phase in HPLC column, and methanol-water mixture was used as the eluent. The results showed that Y-zeolite exhibited excellent separation performance and could effectively separate isomers of polyols and monosaccharides. Compared to traditional hydrophilic interaction chromatography (HILIC), Y-zeolite showed superior selectivity and separation efficiency.

Summary: The temperature-responsive spin column presents a simple sample preparation method using all-aqueous eluent for protein removal from serum, required for serum drug analysis. Two types of silica beads grafted with temperature-responsive copolymers were utilized as packing materials, enabling effective separation of serum proteins and analytes by changing the temperature during elution.

Summary: The research focused on separating water- and fat-soluble vitamins using micellar systems of HPTLC and PPEC, investigating the influence of mobile phase composition on migration distances and zone separation. Comparisons between HPLC and PPEC showed differences in system capacity, with PPEC performing better for fat-soluble vitamins and exhibiting lower variances and reproducibilities.

Summary: Currently, there is limited information on the use of ternary eluent compositions in supercritical fluid chromatography for peptide separation. This study investigates the benefits of adding acetonitrile to methanol as a modifier, increasing the resolution of peptide fingerprints and altering the elution order of analytes. A generic method development protocol for polypeptides is proposed based on the optimized conditions for three cyclic antibiotic peptides.

Summary: The importance of element-selective detection with ICPMS has been enhanced by the introduction of tandem ICPMS/MS, enabling nonmetal speciation analysis. This study reports the first phosphorous speciation study in human urine using HPLC-ICPMS/MS, involving the determination of phosphoethanolamine. A simple derivatization procedure was employed for separation, and a novel chromatographic eluent, hexanediol, was used to address the challenge of eluting the hydrophobic derivative. The developed method showed fast chromatographic separation, no need for an isotopically labeled internal standard, and high accuracy.

Summary: The complex of alizarin complexone (ALC) and Ni2+ acts as a colorimetric probe for selectively recognizing histamine in aqueous solution. The color changes from red to purple, and histamine can be detected in a linear range of 5-150 μM with a detection limit of 7.68 μM.

Summary: Research on oligosaccharides, including the product mixtures generated by LPMOs, is growing rapidly. A novel method based on dual electrolytic eluent generation has been developed to separate and quantify these compounds with high sensitivity and improved analytical precision. This new chromatographic platform offers simplified operation and rapid method optimization, overcoming drawbacks associated with manual eluent preparation.

Summary: A novel technique using HILIC combined with ICP-MS was developed to identify and quantify Gd-based contrast agents in river water. The study found both known Gd-based contrast agents and unidentified Gd compounds in river water samples, suggesting potential transformation or dissociation of Gd chelates during treatment in WWTP.

Summary: An effective strategy of using acetonitrile-methanol-water as mobile phase was developed to achieve acceptable peak shape of steviol glycosides in reversed-phase liquid chromatography (RPLC). It was found that the elution profile of RA is highly dependent on the ternary composition, and with the increase of acetonitrile concentration in the ternary eluent, the peak shape of RA changes from tailing to fronting shapes. The use of ternary eluent can control and adjust the peak shape of steviol glycosides in RPLC separation.

Summary: The study discusses the impact of gamma radiation on the decomposition of 90% and 98% hydrogen peroxide, as well as its potential use as a rocket propellant. Results obtained through gravimetric and gas chromatography methods are compared, showing the relationship between dose size and post-radiation oxygen release. Gas chromatography with a packed column and a thermal conductivity detector is identified as a convenient method for evaluating the stability of HTP-based rocket propellant.

Summary: This study investigated the dynamics of radiolytic species induced in fused silica by picosecond electron pulses. The results identified at least two main species induced in the material, one with strong absorption in the UV range and the other with maximum absorption at 580 nm. Additionally, low absorbance was observed in the NIR range, decaying within 11 ps after the pulse.

Summary: Laser forming is a non-contact forming technology that uses uneven thermal stress induced by a laser light source to deform plates. The study achieved saddle surface and bowl shape surface by using a round 7075 aviation aluminum plate and investigated the deformation rule under various technology parameters. Results show that the accuracy of the forming surface is affected by the non-uniform distribution of temperature on the heating line.

Summary: The formation of a protein complex between PKD2 and BECN1 is essential for the induction of autophagy, and this process relies on the presence of the CC1 domain of PKD2 and on the mobilization of intracellular Ca(2+) by PKD2.
