Summary: Behcet syndrome is a unique type of vasculitis that affects veins and arteries, leading to recurrent vascular events, with venous thrombosis being the most common. Thrombosis is an early manifestation and plays a crucial role in the pathogenesis, which is driven by immune response and inflammation. Treatment is primarily based on immunosuppression, while the use of anticoagulation remains controversial. Careful evaluation is needed for the application of surgical and interventional procedures to avoid triggering a vascular pathergy phenomenon.

Summary: One-third of patients with dural AVFs in this study were diagnosed with cerebral venous thrombosis. In almost two-thirds of patients, cerebral venous thrombosis was diagnosed prior to or concurrent with the dural AVF. In 97% of patients, there was an anatomic association between the dural AVF and cerebral venous thrombosis.

Summary: This review examines the occurrence and characteristics of aphasic syndromes secondary to cerebral venous and dural sinuses thrombosis (CVT) based on case reports from the past 10 years in the PubMed database. The analysis reveals a limited number of case reports that include aphasic syndromes in patients with CVT, indicating a lack of research on language disturbances caused by CVT. Aphasia is considered a predictor factor in the progression and prognosis of this rare and underdiagnosed condition. The review concludes that aphasic syndromes are not typically a result of isolated thrombosis of dural sinuses or cerebral veins, and the most common form of CVT associated with aphasia is left transverse sinus thrombosis. Gender, particularly women in their postpartum condition, appears to be an important demographic factor in CVT-related aphasia.

Summary: Behcet's disease is a systematic, inflammatory disorder affecting vessels of all sizes. Early detection is crucial due to its high mortality rate, especially in causing pulmonary artery aneurysms. Unlike other inflammatory thrombotic diseases, thrombosis in Behcet's disease is mainly caused by an inflammatory process, requiring the use of immunosuppressant medications for control. The simultaneous occurrence of multiple site thrombosis and aneurysm makes the management of Behcet's disease challenging.

Summary: The objective of the study was to investigate the efficacy and safety of infliximab in BS patients with vascular involvement. Among the 127 patients treated with infliximab, the remission rate was 73% at Month 6 and 63% at Month 12. Patients with pulmonary artery involvement and venous thrombosis had better remission rates compared to those with non-pulmonary artery involvement and venous ulcers.

Summary: This case report highlights the early diagnosis of traumatic Dural Venous Sinus Thrombosis (DVST) based on the findings of gas and increasing density in the DVS on regular nonenhanced CTs. This method proves to be sensitive and practical for early diagnosis of traumatic DVST, especially in patients with hidden skull fractures involving DVS and patients with hypocythemia.

Summary: A 25-year-old primigravida with history of pre-eclampsia presented with sudden onset headache, confusion, and loss of consciousness, found to have right sinus thrombosis with elements of SAH. With treatment, her condition gradually improved, confirmed by repeat MRI and MRV after 10 days which showed resolution of thrombosis and SAH. She was discharged with follow-up and was doing well on her recent visit two weeks later.

Summary: This article presents a rare case of a 13-year-old boy who presented with both cerebral venous sinus thrombosis (CVST) and pulmonary embolism (PE) within 5 days of disease onset. It was ultimately diagnosed as asymptomatic primary nephrotic syndrome (NS) complicated by PE and CVST. The case emphasizes the importance of a high index of suspicion for these diseases in patients with hypercoagulability.

Summary: This study aimed to assess the prevalence of employability decline after cerebral venous thrombosis (CVT) and identify factors associated with unemployment. The study found that impaired employment was associated with motor deficits, aphasia, mental disorders, CVT recurrence, NIHSS score at admission, and mRS 0-2 at 6-month follow-up. Even patients with a good functional prognosis after CVT have a higher risk of employment failure due to aphasia and CVT recurrence.

Summary: This study investigates the impact of bDMARD treatment on the immune response against SARS-CoV-2 in IMID patients. The results show that IMID patients treated with bDMARDs have lower prevalence of SARS-CoV-2 antibodies, lower seroconversion rate after infection, and reduced longevity of their immune response.

Summary: MSOT can non-invasively measure metabolic differences between arthritis and enthesitis in vivo. Enthesitis-related sonographic changes are associated with increased total Hb, oxygen saturation, and collagen content, while arthritis-related clinical and sonographic findings are associated with increased Hb levels, reduced oxygen saturation, and reduced collagen content.
