Summary: The study finds long-term bi-directional relationships between environmental protection expenditure and environmental performance, with no short-term links, and a unidirectional relationship from environmental performance to environmental expenditure in OECD countries. Policymakers need to better reallocate environmental expenditure to improve environmental performance.

Summary: Magnetic particle hyperthermia (MPH) is a promising cancer treatment method that uses magnetic nanoparticles (MNPs) to generate localized heating. The MNPs are subjected to an alternating magnetic field to heat the cancer cells while minimizing side effects on healthy tissues. The size of the MNPs is crucial for maximizing heating efficiency and minimizing toxicity, and various synthetic controls have been developed to achieve the optimal size for MPH treatment.

Summary: In the field of metallo-supramolecular assemblies, supramolecular macrocycles with guest recognition and catalytic properties have attracted attention. This study presents a novel strategy for constructing giant hollow macrocyclic structures using a bi-directional geometric constraint strategy. By designing two terpyridine-based tetratopic organic ligands with different angles, the mutual interaction between the ligands promotes the formation of giant hollow macrocyclic supramolecular architectures. The self-assembly mechanism and hierarchical self-assembly of the giant supramolecular macrocycles are characterized by NMR, ESI-MS, and TEM experiments.

Summary: Antimony selenide (Sb2Se3) is a promising candidate material for photovoltaic and photoelectric devices, but its low electrical conductivity and charge carrier density present practical challenges. To overcome these challenges, a Bi/Sb strategy was used to prepare Bi-doped Sb2Se3 semiconductors. The doped crystals exhibited improved electrical conductivity and photoresponse due to an increased carrier concentration. A solar cell based on (BixSb1-x)2Se3 achieved a 62% improvement in device efficiency compared to one based on pure Sb2Se3, showcasing the effectiveness of the Bi/Sb substitution strategy.

Summary: This paper presents a theoretical study of bioconvection flow of a tangential hyperbolic nanofluid under mutually orthogonal electrical and magnetic fields. Various factors, such as thermal radiation, Joule heating, and heat source/sink effects, are considered. The study also implements non-Fourier and non-Fickian models with thermal and solutal relaxation. The results show the effects of different parameters on the flow properties, such as velocity, density of microorganisms, and temperature.

Summary: Understanding and predicting the heat released by magnetic nanoparticles is crucial for magnetic hyperthermia treatment planning. We conducted a computational analysis to examine the heat released by nanoparticle aggregates with different sizes and fractal geometry factors. Our findings show that the average heat released per particle stabilizes from moderately small aggregates, allowing for estimates of heat release for larger aggregates. We also investigated the heating performance of particle aggregates with various fractal parameters and compared it with non-interacting nanoparticles to quantify the reduction in heating power after injection into tissues.

Summary: In this paper, an improved CRNN network CRNN-RES is proposed to address the shortcomings of CRNN in handling wide characters and long dense small characters, which reduces the number of network parameters and improves accuracy. Comparing with the original CRNN network, CRNN-RES achieved higher recognition accuracy on public datasets IC03, IC13, IIIT5k, and SVT.
