Summary: This study proposes a low-density discharge plasma model that considers the impact of oxygen admixture in complex plasmas. Numerical simulations show that the concentration of negative ions is significantly high and plays a crucial role in the plasma kinetics. Furthermore, the proposed model explains the phenomenon observed in experiments and provides an alternative explanation.

Summary: The homogeneity of matrix, laser fluence, and proton affinity affect the generation of multiply charged ions. The forced dried droplet method can produce more charged ions, while laser fluence determines the maximum charge state of ions.

Summary: Surface flashover of dielectric materials can cause significant damage to pulse power devices. This is particularly challenging as higher operating voltages are demanded. To address this issue, the flashover voltage and streamer development characteristics were studied in pressured SF6 gas under positive and negative nanosecond impulses. The results demonstrated that the negative flashover voltage was higher than the positive one. The study also examined the evolving process of streamers using a high-speed camera and analyzed the surface morphology change after flashover. Possible mechanisms for polarity and pressure effects were proposed.

Summary: In this study, the partial discharge (PD) characteristics of nonuniform electric fields in SF6 and SF6/N2 gases were investigated. The effects of gas mixture ratio and electric field distortion on PD characteristics were analyzed, including PD inception voltage, amplitude, repetition frequency, and time-resolved PD patterns. It was found that the PD inception voltage of SF6/N2 was higher than that of SF6 within a certain range of gas mixture ratios, and increased with the degree of electric field distortion. PD amplitude and repetition frequency in SF6/N2 increased with applied voltage, while in SF6, PD amplitude increased significantly and repetition frequency decreased at high voltages. The shape features of time-resolved PD patterns changed with increasing applied voltage, more noticeably in SF6 than in SF6/N2.

Summary: This study investigated the photoionisation of ethanol clusters at different laser wavelengths and intensities, exploring the mechanism of higher charge state formation. The results suggest that multiphoton ionisation and electron impact ionisation are the main processes involved, and their efficiency is influenced by the stability and intermolecular interactions of ethanol clusters.

Summary: This study focused on the compatibility between C4F7N gas mixtures and different EPDM sealing materials. The results showed that ENB-EPDM was more suitable for sealing the C4F7N gas mixture due to its superior thermal stability. Coating silicone grease effectively blocked the contact between gas and rubber, reducing the concentration of decomposition products.

Summary: We investigate the non-adiabatic coupling dynamics in ethane molecules and find that it leads to a high yield of neutral H-2 formation. By analyzing fingerprints in photoelectron momentum distributions, we determine the initial electronic population and branching ratios of H-2 formation from the ground and excited ionic states. Our findings provide a comprehensive characterization of H-2 formation mediated by conical intersection and highlight the significance of non-adiabatic coupling dynamics in intramolecular hydrogen migration.

Summary: The study proposes the use of optical laser pulses to generate Brunel harmonics (BHs) for high-resolution gas-biased coherent detection in terahertz and mid-infrared ranges. However, the strong linearly polarized laser pulse introduces broadband noise interference, which can be effectively suppressed by using elliptical polarization of the gating pulse.

Summary: The experimental study showed that the fraction of F ions is the highest and C ions is the smallest when scattering from an HOPG surface, with the F- ion fraction increasing monotonically with impact velocity. This unexpected observation may be explained by the influence of the high work function of HOPG and the production of positive ions at short distances from the surface.

Summary: This study reports experimental results on second and third harmonic generation from nano gold layers under TE- and TM-polarized incident light pulses, discussing the role of hot electrons in third harmonic generation. Experimental observations suggest that hot electrons trigger the third harmonic generation in the vertical direction.

Summary: This study demonstrates the nonperturbative role of dynamic core-electron polarization (DCeP) in high-order harmonic generation (HHG) of the CO molecule. The inclusion of DCeP results in a significant change in the even-to-odd ratio of harmonic intensities, making the theoretically predicted values consistent with experimental data. These findings establish the importance of incorporating DCeP into the standard framework for strong-field physics.

Summary: The electric strength in HFO1234ze(E)/SF6 mixtures was investigated using swarm and breakdown experiments. The results showed that the density-reduced critical electric field and breakdown voltage were higher in mixtures with more than 10% SF6 compared to pure gases. The underlying mechanism for the observed positive synergy was explored, and an alternative hypothesis considering the reduction of electron energies via inelastic processes in HFO1234ze(E) was proposed.

Summary: This paper presents an apparatus for studying the photodetachment process of atomic negative ions. The apparatus combines resonant laser excitation and electric field ionization to achieve state-selective detection of the residual atom. It has high selectivity and sensitivity and can be used for studying multiple photodetachment channels and the double electron-detachment process.
