Summary: Research in Rwanda shows suboptimal levels of Person-Centered Antenatal Care (PCANC), with one third of women leaving antenatal care feeling confused or disrespected. Factors such as social support, higher parity, receiving traditional care, and the district where care was received significantly predict high PCANC. Improved provider training may promote a shift towards a more person-centered model of care.

Summary: This study aims to gain insight into Norwegian midwives' experiences of screening for violence during antenatal care. Four main themes were identified, including the challenges of raising the subject of violence, the emphasis on past experiences rather than ongoing violence, the importance of building trust to ask direct questions, and the role of experience and collaboration in reducing barriers. The findings suggest the need for reinforced and standardized training for midwives in addressing violence in antenatal care.

Summary: Further research is needed to investigate the impact of person-centered care on the relationships between home care workers and clients. This study collected qualitative data to explore how approaches to care shape the experiences of older adult clients with chronic conditions in home care settings. Using critical disability and intersectionality frameworks, the study highlights the social and instrumental benefits that person-centered care provides for both workers and clients. However, it also reveals the challenges faced by workers in terms of flexibility and developing interpersonal relationships due to home care policies.
