We examined the performance of the Child and Adolescent Intellectual Disability Screening Questionnaire with 103 young children aged 6-7 years, 11 months referred to mental health services. Sensitivity and specificity were both over 80% and convergent validity with IQ scores was found, suggesting it could be useful for screening with this age group. (C) 2013 Elsevier Ireland Ltd.
