Summary: This study identifies differential expression of Aurora, Cyclin D1, and HNF-3a proteins between African American and Caucasian prostate cancer tissue. These proteins may be involved in different pathways leading to aggressive prostate cancer behavior in African American patients and could potentially serve as biomarkers for prostate cancer racial disparity.

Summary: Lead is found to significantly inhibit root growth in soybean plants. Through transcriptome-wide m6A methylation analysis, we identified 1144 m6A modification peaks and 1094 differentially expressed genes under lead stress. We found that these genes may promote abiotic stress tolerance by affecting lead uptake, transport, and accumulation through ROS pathways, enzymes, transporters, and hormones. These results provide candidate genes and genetic resources for studying soybean root's tolerance mechanisms to lead stress and plant heavy metal stress in soybean breeding.

Summary: The study analyzed gene expression profiles of adipose tissues from obese patients and non-obese controls, revealing that inflammation in adipose tissues may be primarily caused by an increase in macrophages and a decrease in gamma delta T cells, leading to the occurrence of obesity-related complications. By constructing a protein-protein interaction network, central genes related to obesity were identified, along with chemicals that may contribute to obesity.

Summary: Atherosclerosis is a serious medical condition that develops over many years and involves multiple cells and factors of clinical interest. This study investigated the gene ontology of differentially expressed genes in endothelial cells under the influence of atherogenic factors such as smoking, oscillatory shear, and oxidized low-density lipoproteins. The results showed that these genes were mainly involved in cytokine-mediated signaling pathway, innate immune response, lipid biosynthetic process, and nitric-oxide synthase activity.

Summary: By analyzing high-throughput sequencing data of samples infected with four Candida species, we identified key genes associated with infection and constructed a protein-protein interaction network. Among these genes, JUNB, ATF3, and EGR2 showed significant statistical significance after validation, suggesting their potential as biomarkers for Candida infection.

Summary: This study found that differential expression of SVAT-associated lncRNAs-mRNAs in circulating exosomes from autistic children and pregnant women varied throughout different gestational ages. Pathologic pregnancies showed specific correlations between SVAT-lncRNA and SVAT-mRNA expression levels, which may affect fetal brain development.

Summary: Recently, the combination of chemotherapy and nivolumab has become the standard treatment for advanced-stage gastric cancer. However, a significant number of patients do not respond to this treatment. This study aimed to identify gene expression variations associated with primary resistance to chemotherapy and immunotherapy. The findings suggest the potential involvement of angiogenesis, the Wnt-beta-catenin signaling pathway, and the PI3K pathway in treatment resistance.
