Summary: Plasma interacting with liquids can generate a highly reactive liquid layer, enabling selective, efficient, and green chemical transformations and new material synthesis. PDSE can be seen as replacing a metal electrode in an electrolytic cell with a gas phase plasma, which is crucial for driving transformational advances in PDSE.

Summary: Research on the interaction between cold atmospheric plasma and saline water has developed significantly in recent years. The study found that this interaction can produce reactive oxygen and nitrogen species, affect the conductivity and pH of saline water, and influence the distance and interaction area between the electrode and solution. These findings have important implications for the development of desalination and liquid property improvement technologies.

Summary: In-situ hydrogen production from ethanol/water mixtures through liquid discharge can increase the flow rate and concentration percentage of hydrogen. The needle-12 needle configuration has higher energy efficiency, and the addition of TiO2 can improve the hydrogen production effect to a certain extent.

Summary: We conducted an experimental study on laser-induced plasma in a gold aqueous solution and explored the correlation between plasma properties and the rate of gold nanoparticles synthesis. The concentration of photo-excited carriers was measured using pump-probe and scattering microscopy techniques. The experimental data helped us identify the ionization mechanisms in liquid water and link them to the synthesis of nanoparticles.

Summary: A novel design of a neutralizer-free plasma thruster is proposed, utilizing RF discharge for plasma generation and a magnetic nozzle configuration for acceleration. The characteristics of plasma plume and ions flux are investigated, and key parameters such as ions energy, flux, efficiencies, and thrust are estimated. The system produces an ion beam accelerated to 10 eV with power levels of 20 W and a mass flow of 1.2 mg/s, showing the acceleration due to the formation of an ambipolar electric field. Comparisons with other similar thrusters are also conducted.

Summary: By changing the ambient temperature and discharge power, air discharge plasma can switch between the ozone mode and the NO (x) mode. This study analyzes the properties and effects of air dielectric barrier discharge (DBD) plasma-activated saline (PAS) treated by different discharge modes. The results show that different modes generate varying reactive oxygen species (ROS) and reactive nitrogen species (RNS), with the mixed gases producing the most abundant high-valence RNS and having the strongest anticancer effects.

Summary: A kinetic model of a non-equilibrium water vapor plasma created by a nanosecond pulsed discharge at elevated temperatures and at low pressure is presented. Simulation results show good agreement with experimental data, revealing that the decay of plasma in pure water vapor is controlled by dissociative recombination and the formation of vibrationally excited species can be observed.

Summary: This paper reviews the progress of using plasma-driven solution electrolysis (PDSE) for hydrogen production and discusses the effects of various parameters on energy efficiency, energy yield, and hydrogen production rate. The results show that in the cathodic regime of PDSE, the hydrogen production rate and energy efficiency are significantly higher compared to the anodic regime.

Summary: Systematic experimental studies and numerical modeling were conducted to investigate the electron density, temperature, and RF power coupling efficiency in RF inductive discharge plasma at different gas pressures. The results show that the maximum electron density and minimum temperature are achieved within a certain pressure range.

Summary: The study found that pressure had little effect on CO2 hydrate formation, while temperature had a significant influence. Salt ions were found to inhibit CO2 hydrate formation, suggesting that lower salinity areas should be chosen for storing CO2 as gas hydrates. The observations in this study can provide theoretical support for the micro mechanism of hydrate formation and for the technology of hydrate-based CO2 storage.

Summary: We conducted an experimental and analytical study on the structural and dynamic properties of a monolayer composed of dust grains in an RF discharge plasma. The experimental results demonstrated the formation of an isotropic distribution for interparticle distance and kinetic energy in this monolayer structure. Isotropy plays a crucial role in studying various processes in such systems, including phase transition kinetics, directed flow formation, wave propagation, and others.

Summary: This paper demonstrates the use of liquid-phase microwave discharge plasma for methane reforming to produce hydrogen, achieving a methane conversion rate of 94.3% and a hydrogen concentration of 74.0%. By optimizing the electrode structure, higher hydrogen yield and energy efficiency were obtained, with the highest energy efficiency of hydrogen production reaching approximately 0.92 mmol/kJ.

Summary: Based on the new electrooxidation gaseous separation (EOGS) idea, this paper reports a simple, fast, and accurate method for the analysis of associated minerals Os in iron ores. The highly active coated electrodes promote the efficient and quantitative conversion of Os to gaseous OsO4. The method has the merits of high separation efficiency, low detection limit, wide linear range, and low signal fluctuation.
