Characterization of Diaporthe ampelina isolates and their Sensitivity to Hot-Water Treatments and Fungicides in in vitro

Davut Soner Akgul, Qamar Nawaz Awan

Summary: In this study, the morphological, molecular, and pathogenic characteristics of 23 isolates of D. ampelina were examined, and their sensitivity to hot-water treatments and fungicides commonly used in vineyards was tested. The results showed that all the isolates were D. ampelina and were pathogenic on wood tissues of vines. In terms of sensitivity, fludioxonil or tebuconazole-containing fungicides were the most effective in suppressing the mycelial growth of the fungus.
