A new phenylpropanoid, 3-O-(6-O-beta-D-xylopyranosyloxy-beta-D-glucopyranosyl)-4-hydroxy-1-allylbenzene (1) and a new neolignan glycoside, (7S, 8R)-dehydrodiconiferyl alcohol 4-O-beta-D-glucopyranoside-9'-n-butanol ether (2), together with 2 known neolignans (3-4) and 5 known coumarins (5-9) were isolated from the roots of Heracleum dissectum Ledeb. Their structures were elucidated by means of various spectroscopic analyses. Five of the isolated compounds were tested against Hela, HCT-8, and HepG2 cancer cell lines and showed moderate cytotoxic activities with IC50 values between 5.8 and 18.6 mu M.
