The transverse profile of the chromoelectric flux tubes in SU(2) and SU(3) pure gauge theories is analyzed by a simple variational ansatz using a strict analogy with ordinary superconductivity. Our method allows to extract the penetration length and the coherence length of the flux tube.

High-energy resummed distributions for the inclusive Higgs-plus-jet production at the LHC

Francesco G. Celiberto, Dmitry Yu Ivanov, Mohammed M. A. Mohammed, Alessandro Papa

Summary: The paper introduces a novel probe channel for studying the manifestation of BFKL dynamics by considering the inclusive hadroproduction of a Higgs boson and a jet with large transverse momenta and well separated in rapidity. Predictions are presented for azimuthal Higgs-jet correlations and other observables, and can be compared with experimental analyses at the LHC and theoretical predictions in different schemes.

Dual simulation of a Polyakov loop model at finite baryon density: Phase diagram and local observables

O. Borisenko, V. Chelnokov, E. Mendicelli, A. Papa

Summary: This study presents numerical simulations of a dual representation of an effective Polyakov loop model at finite baryon density, calculating various local observables and detailing the phase diagram of the model. The regions of first order phase transition, crossover, and line of second order phase transition were established, along with the computation of several correlation functions of the Polyakov loops.

The next-to-leading order Higgs impact factor in the infinite top-mass limit

Francesco Giovanni Celiberto, Michael Fucilla, Dmitry Yu Ivanov, Mohammed M. A. Mohammed, Alessandro Papa

Summary: This article calculates the next-to-leading order correction to the impact factor for the production of a forward Higgs boson in the infinite top-mass limit. The result is presented both in momentum representation and as a superposition of the eigenfunctions of the leading-order BFKL kernel. This impact factor is crucial for describing the inclusive hadroproduction of a forward Higgs in the small Bjorken x limit, as well as for studying the inclusive forward emissions of a Higgs boson in association with a backward identified object.

Summary: High energy collisions at the High-Luminosity Large Hadron Collider (LHC) produce a large number of particles beyond the acceptance of existing experiments. The proposed Forward Physics Facility (FPF) will host experiments to probe standard model processes and search for physics beyond the standard model (BSM). FPF experiments will explore BSM physics through searches for new particle scattering or decay signatures and deviations from SM expectations in a low-background environment.

One-loop Lipatov vertex in QCD with higher E-accuracy

Victor S. Fadin, Michael Fucilla, Alessandro Papa

Summary: This paper presents the expression for the effective Reggeon-Reggeon-gluon vertex, known as the Lipatov vertex, in dimensional regularization up to the required accuracy for developing the BFKL approach in QCD. Its one-loop corrections are needed in the next-to-leading logarithmic approximation, and up to order epsilon(2) in the next-to-next-to-leading approximation.

The paper also explores theoretical aspects of low-x physics, probes of the quark-gluon plasma, and the complementarity between LHC and the EIC.

Understanding Traffic Jams Using Lindblad Superoperators

Andrea Nava, Domenico Giuliano, Alessandro Papa, Marco Rossi

Summary: We propose a model to simulate different traffic-flow conditions using quantum graphs with an (N+1)-level dot at each site. The model tracks the type and destination of each vehicle. The traffic flow is encoded using Lindbladian local dissipators, which describe the time evolution of the system density matrix. By exploiting the invariance of the Lindblad master equation under inhomogeneous transformations, we derive the quantum Hamiltonian for the bulk dynamics in a suitable experimental setup.

Bottom-flavored inclusive emissions in the variable-flavor number scheme: A high-energy analysis

Francesco Giovanni Celiberto, Michael Fucilla, Dmitry Yu. Ivanov, Mohammed M. A. Mohammed, Alessandro Papa

Summary: This study proposes novel channels for the manifestation of stabilization effects of high-energy resummation under next-to-leading-order corrections in proton-proton collisions, focusing on the inclusive semihard production of two bottom-flavored hadrons and a single bottom-flavored hadron accompanied by a light jet. The formalism relies on hybrid high-energy and collinear factorization, combining BFKL resummation with collinear factorization, to investigate distinctive signals of the BFKL dynamics through cross sections and azimuthal correlations. The study suggests investigating the interplay of different types of resummation mechanisms through double differential distributions in the transverse momenta of final-state particles.
