Implication of J/ψ → (γ plus ) invisible for the effective field theories of neutrino and dark matter

Summary: The study investigates the implications of J/psi decay into invisible particles for light sterile neutrinos and sub-GeV dark matter using low-energy effective field theories. Limits are obtained for the decay branching fractions for different neutrino or dark matter scenarios, with the most stringent bounds being 12.8 GeV for neutrinos and 11.6 GeV for dark matter. The data from J/psi invisible decays provide sensitive constraints on the light dark matter mass range, where direct detection experiments cannot yet probe.

Charmonium dissociation at high baryon chemical potential

Summary: This study focuses on charmonium dissociation in a hot medium with a finite baryon chemical potential, where the bound states are dissociated by the color screening effect and random scatterings with thermal partons. The effect of Debye mass on the J/psi survival probability is considered.

Summary: In this study, the polarization of inclusive J=. produced in Pb-Pb collisions was investigated through the measurement of the angular distribution of its decay products. A small transverse polarization was observed at low transverse momentum and for intermediate centrality values.

Two-photon transitions of charmonia on the light front

Summary: In this study, we investigate the two-photon transitions of the charmonium system using light-front dynamics. By computing the two-photon transition form factors and decay widths, we provide predictions that are consistent with recent experimental measurements, shedding light on the relativistic nature of charmonium.

Hybridization and correlation between f- and d-orbital electrons in a valence fluctuating compound EuNi2P2

Summary: This study systematically investigates the electronic structure of the archetypical valence fluctuating compound EuNi2P2, which hosts multiple f electrons, using high-resolution angle-resolved photoemission spectroscopy. The hybridization between Eu 4 f and Ni 3d states is revealed at low temperatures. Interestingly, opposite temperature evolution of electron spectral function above and below the Kondo coherence temperature is observed, which is in contrast to the monotonic valence change and beyond the expectation of the periodic Anderson model.

Quantum computing for heavy quarkonium spectroscopy

Summary: We demonstrate the first application of quantum computing to heavy quarkonium spectroscopy study. By using the variational quantum eigensolver (VQE) approach on the IBM cloud quantum computing platform, we solve the Hamiltonian problem based on the Cornell-potential model and correct errors caused by global depolarizing noise channel using zero-noise extrapolation method, resulting in good agreement with the expected value. We also generalize the VQE method for solving excited states by orthogonalization with respect to the ground state, which is successfully applied to the quarkonium system on a noiseless quantum simulator and can be easily adapted for similar excited state problems in other physical systems.

Complete study on polarization of Upsilon(nS) hadroproduction at QCD next-to-leading order

Emergence of heavy quark spin symmetry breaking in heavy quarkonium decays

Inclusive production of heavy quarkonium ηQ via Z boson decays within the framework of nonrelativistic QCD

BEEC2.0: An upgraded version for the production of heavy quarkonium at electron-positron collider

Anisotropic Flows of Charmonium in the Relativistic Heavy-Ion Collisions

Summary: This article reviews recent studies on the anisotropic flows (v(1), v(2), v(3)) of charmonium in the quark-gluon plasma formed in relativistic heavy-ion collisions. It is found that the collective flows of the bulk medium are developed due to the anisotropic pressure gradient of the medium. Charm quarks, strongly coupled with the medium, carry the collective flows from the expanding medium, which are then inherited by the regenerated charmonium through the coalescence process. The initial energy density of the medium exhibits triangularity in event-by-event collisions where nucleon positions fluctuate. As a result, triangular flows of the bulk medium and heavy flavor particles can be developed. Furthermore, the rotation of the medium in non-central heavy-ion collisions induces a rapidity-odd distribution of the initial energy density in the longitudinal direction. This leads to biased dissociation of charmonium in the forward (backward) rapidity along positive and negative x-directions, resulting in non-zero directed flow of charmonium. The directed, elliptic, and triangular flows (v(1), v(2), v(3)) of charmonium arise from the anisotropic initial distributions of the medium energy density in both the transverse and longitudinal directions.

fρ/mρ and fπ/mρ ratios and the conformal window

Summary: The f(rho)/m(rho) ratio is calculated within perturbative NRQCD at NLO-L3 order, providing reliable predictions close to the upper end of the conformal window. The comparison of NNLO and NLO-L3 results indicates the validity of the Banks-Zaks expansion down to twelve flavors. Previous lattice calculations combined with KSRF relations give us the ratio for 2 <= N-f <= 10, and assuming a monotonic dependence on N-f, an estimate for the lower end of the conformal window, N-f* ~ 12, is obtained. The f(pi)/m(rho) ratio is also considered, but the current NNLO level perturbative calculation is insufficient for reliable matching, leading to an estimate of N-f* ~ 13.
