We study radiative decays of heavy Q (Q) over bar states, both for Q = c and Q = b, using an effective Lagrangian approach which exploits spin symmetry for such states. We use existing data on radiative quarkonium transitions to predict some unmeasured decay rates. We also discuss how these modes can be useful to understand the structure of X(3872).

The charm of 331

Andrzej J. Buras, Pietro Colangelo, Fulvia De Fazio, Francesco Loparco

Summary: In the context of 331 models, a detailed analysis of flavour changing neutral current processes in the charm sector reveals that new Physics effects in certain observables can be much larger than those predicted by the Standard Model. Particularly, the branching ratio of the D-0 -> mu(+)mu(-) mode can be enhanced by 6 orders of magnitude relative to the SM.

Summary: In this study, we analyze the form factors of the B-c -> J/psi, eta(c) matrix elements. We use a nonrelativistic QCD expansion and lattice QCD results as input to obtain information on these form factors.

331 model predictions for rare B and K decays, and increment ΔF=2 processes: an update

Andrzej J. Buras, Fulvia De Fazio

Summary: Motivated by recent advancements in experimental results and lattice calculations, we update our analysis on various flavor observables in four 331 models. Based on their consistency with electroweak precision tests and new experimental data on Bs -> mu(+)mu(-), we explore the dependence of observables on the |V-cb| parameter. We also investigate the impact of new physics contributions on Wilson coefficients and branching ratios of B and K decays.
