We study the B meson spectroscopy allowing the mixture of conventional P wave quark-antiquark states and four-quark components. A similar picture was used to describe the new D-J and D-sJ open-charm mesons. The four-quark components shift the masses of some positive parity B-sJ states below their corresponding isospin preserving two-meson threshold and therefore they are expected to be narrow. Electromagnetic decay widths are analyzed.

A study of Type B uncertainties associated with the photoelectric effect in low-energy Monte Carlo simulations

Christian Valdes-Cortez, Iymad Mansour, Mark J. Rivard, Facundo Ballester, Ernesto Mainegra-Hing, Rowan M. Thomson, Javier Vijande

Summary: This study estimated the Type B uncertainties in absorbed-dose calculations arising from the implementation of low-energy photon cross-sections in three state-of-the-art Monte Carlo codes. The results showed that there are significant uncertainties in absorbed dose and photon-fluence spectra across different energy ranges due to the variations in cross-section implementations.

Clues about the Nature of Multiquark States

Humberto Garcilazo, Alfredo Valcarce

Summary: In this study, a comprehensive investigation into the decay width of multiquark states using a coupled-channel approach was conducted, revealing that the decay width can offer detailed information about the nature of resonances. The symmetrical situation between meson- and baryon-like multiquarks was emphasized, and the existence of narrow resonances with large phase spaces was taken into account. The research also indicated that the decay width of multiquark states is determined by the mass difference with the formation channel, with tighter bindings leading to larger decay widths.

(I, JP) = (1,1/2+) SNN Quasibound State

Humberto Garcilazo, Alfredo Valcarce

Summary: JLab has found indications of a possible sigma NN resonance at (3.14 +/- 0.84) -i(2.28 +/- 1.2) MeV. Using previous models, we have derived theoretical evidence of a quasibound state in the lambda NN - sigma NN system, which is in reasonable agreement with experimental findings.

Hidden-flavor pentaquarks

H. Garcilazo, A. Valcarce

Summary: This study investigates hidden-charm pentaquarks by studying the dynamical correlations between heavy quarks. A pattern that matches experimental data is obtained and extended to other flavor sectors. A detailed comparison with literature and experimental data is made, and the predictions are useful in differentiating models of multiquark system dynamics.

Constituent quark-model hidden-flavor pentaquarks

H. Garcilazo, A. Valcarce

Summary: In this study, we investigate hidden-flavor pentaquarks based on a constituent quark-model and compare our results with previous studies and experimental data. Our findings reveal a distinct pattern for open-flavor and hidden-flavor pentaquarks, which supports the existence of quarkonia bound to nuclei.

Effect of relativistic kinematics on the stability of multiquarks

Jean-Marc Richard, Alfredo Valcarce, Javier Vijande

Summary: The study shows that relativistic corrections to the kinetic energy can lower the binding energy of multiquark states, requiring a parameter retuning of the model. Tetraquarks with double heavy flavor become more stable at higher ratios of heavy to light quark masses, while all-heavy tetraquarks remain unstable when a relativistic form of kinetic energy is adopted.
