We present an unquenched quark model calculation of the mass shifts of 1S, 2S, and 1P bottomonium states due to the coupling to the meson-meson continuum. In our approach, the effects of the q (q) over bar pairs are taken explicitly into account through a microscopic, QCD-inspired, quark-antiquark pair creation mechanism.
