Summary: Coincidence measurements were conducted for breakup fragments in reactions of Li-6, Li-7 with Bi-209 at and above the Coulomb barrier using a large solid-angle covered detector array. Different breakup components and modes were distinguished based on Q values and relative energies, with a new alpha+t breakup mode observed at energies beyond the barrier. Correlations between breakup modes, components, and their variations with incident energy were investigated to better understand the effects on fusion suppression by weakly bound nuclei.

Summary: The study conducted experiments to investigate parameters such as drop breakup time, multiple breakage, and breakup rate, proposing a mechanism correlation for breakup time. The results indicated that the dimensionless drop diameter can be used to characterize the proportion of binary breakup, providing insights into the breakup phenomena.

Summary: This study presents computational simulations of complex multiphase flows to study the physical phenomena in the secondary atomization of a droplet induced by a hot environment. The model was validated against analytical solutions and experimental data, and different atomization regimes were identified based on the initial size of internal bubbles.

Summary: This paper proposes a non-air-assisted pressure-driven full process spray model to investigate the breakup mechanism and spray distribution properties of urea water solution (UWS). The model combines the volume of fluid (VOF) approach and the discrete phase model (DPM) coupled with the Taylor analogy breakup (TAB) model to quantitatively study various spray characteristics. Experimental data are used to validate the accuracy and feasibility of the model, showing good agreement and practical value.

Summary: The research focuses on the rigidity of polymer chains with theta and Brunnian theta-curve shapes, determined by the minimal number of lattice sticks required for construction. Experimental results have increased the lower bound of lattice stick number for Brunnian theta-curves to 16 sticks.

Summary: The quasi-elastic scattering angular distribution of the 94.5 MeV F-17 radioactive ion beam on the Pb-208 target was measured and analyzed using optical potentials and the continuum discretized coupled channel method. The results showed some discrepancies between experimental data and theoretical predictions, especially at larger angles. Various nuclear interactions and reaction channels were explored to understand the influence on the elastic scattering and quasi-elastic angular distribution.

Summary: The total fusion cross section for the F-17 + C-12 system near the top of the Coulomb barrier was studied, investigating the potential influences of the unique nuclear structure properties of the F-17 nucleus on the fusion process. The results show that these properties have minimal impact on the total fusion cross section.

Summary: The pinch-off dynamics of double-emulsion droplets is experimentally investigated in this study. The entire breakup process is analyzed, and a scaling law for the minimum neck width is constructed for quantitative comparisons. The influence of interfacial coupling effect on the thinning dynamics is discussed.

Summary: This study presents an analytical solution for investigating the effect of important parameters on droplet breakup in symmetric T-junctions. The solution is validated using numerical simulation and a generalized relationship is proposed for accurate droplet breakup predictions. The results show that the capillary number and width ratio have significant effects on droplet breakup, while fluid properties have no significant effect on the phase diagram of breakup.

Summary: When a small droplet is charged above the Rayleigh limit, a Coulomb explosion occurs and smaller droplets are ejected with higher charge-to-mass ratios, reducing the charge of the parent droplet. Ion emission from the surface of the droplets can further decrease the charge, keeping it stable or changing its dynamics. This article develops a model to study the interplay between Coulomb explosions and ion emission in charged nanodroplets, finding that the extent of ion emission determines whether the Coulomb explosion is suppressed or not.

Summary: This computational study evaluates the printability of liquid metals using a contactless MHD pumping method. The ejection regimes of pure liquid metal droplets can be categorized using dimensionless quantities We and a newly introduced dimensionless quantity S. By analyzing the relationship between We and S, it is possible to predict the critical magnetic flux required to eject satellite-free liquid metal droplets.

Summary: The study investigates the effects of initial droplet field characteristics on the maximum droplet size growth in turbulent air flow. The research found that the turbulence intensity and initial droplet number density play crucial roles in influencing the droplet size growth rate. Increasing the initial droplet number density can enhance droplet collisions and potentially lead to rapid growth of droplet size under certain conditions.
