Summary: This study examines the hysteresis phenomenon in DPPC monolayers, focusing on the impact of various variables on key indicators such as the pi-A isotherm curve and compression modulus. The findings reveal that these factors significantly influence the structural and dynamic properties of the monolayers, with the hysteresis loop providing valuable insights into their viscoelasticity and phase transition changes.

Summary: The use of deuterocarbons is an effective method in Raman spectroscopy for studying multicomponent lipid materials and biological samples. This study investigated the Raman spectra of hydrated multilamellar vesicles and mixtures of certain lipids to identify the indicators of conformational and lateral orders. The results showed that the intensity ratio of specific peaks can be used to evaluate the conformational order of the lipid chains, and the lateral order can enhance the effect of conformational ordering.

Summary: The influence of different surfactants (DTAB, TTAB, CTAB, SDS) on mixed DPPC/cholesterol layers was investigated. The study found that even tiny amounts of surfactants can significantly alter the zeta potential of cholesterol-containing liposomes, with a greater effect observed for anionic surfactants. The surfactant effect increased with increasing concentration and carbon chain length. Langmuir monolayer studies provided additional evidence of surfactant interactions with membrane lipids. The presence of cholesterol molecules favored the penetration of DTAB and SDS surfactants in DPPC layers.

Summary: Various thermosensitive liposome formulations have been described, and it remains unclear which is optimal for solid tumor treatment. Most liposomes achieve sufficient circulation half-life through polyethylene glycol surface modification, while DPPG(2) has been identified as a promising alternative. In vitro and in vivo studies suggest that higher mol% DPPG(2) increases Apolipoprotein E adsorption, decreases complement activation, and does not exhibit accelerated blood clearance, potentially offering advantages over PEG-TSL. Additionally, low complement activation for 20-30 mol% DPPG(2)-TSL presents a unique attribute for clinical evaluation.

Summary: Studying the interaction between plasma proteins and liposomes is critical for drug delivery systems. This study explored the efficacy of ARMES for investigating the interaction of human serum albumin (HSA) with liposomes and compared it to conventional spectroscopic techniques. The findings provide useful information for understanding the interaction mechanisms.

Summary: Injections of PEG-modified nanomedicines can result in an accelerated clearance, known as the accelerated blood clearance (ABC) phenomenon. Anti-PEG IgM plays a crucial role in inducing this phenomenon, but the addition of 1,2-distearoyl-snglycero-3-phosphoglycerol (DSPG) can inhibit the recognition and binding of anti-PEG IgM, thereby weakening the ABC phenomenon.
