Summary: A sensitive and reliable LC-MS/MS method was developed and validated to measure the concentration of celecoxib in cynomolgus monkey serum. The pharmacokinetic process after administration of different forms of celecoxib was investigated. The results showed that the preparation of nanoparticles and modification of hyaluronic acid improved the bioavailability and circulation of celecoxib in vivo.

Summary: The main stabilization mechanism of Pickering emulsions stabilized by ethyl cellulose nanoparticles is the adsorption of particles at the interface, rather than the formation of a network in the continuous phase. The presence of particles at the interface causes short-range interactions between the droplets, as observed from the rheological behavior of the emulsions.

Summary: The study investigated the digestion and absorption properties of Lycium barbarum polysaccharides stabilized selenium nanoparticles (LBP-SeNPs). Results showed that LBP-SeNPs can better maintain the morphology and properties of nano particles during the digestion process, leading to improved selenium bioavailability. The selenium release rate and particle size of SeNPs and LBP-SeNPs changed significantly during digestion, with LBP-SeNPs showing higher stability and absorption efficiency.

Summary: Conventional methods for quantifying the added iron in wheat flour are time-consuming and costly. A rapid method (Time/Sample: 95 min) was developed by modifying the conventional standard method (Time/Sample: 560 min) and validated. The rapid method showed excellent linearity, accuracy, and precision, making it a sustainable alternative to conventional methods.

Summary: In this study, 20(S)-protopanaxadiol (PPD) was encapsulated in human albumin nanoparticles (PPD-HSA NPs) for intramuscular injection to alleviate myelosuppression. PPD-HSA NPs had a small particle size and exhibited sustained release behavior. Pharmacokinetic studies showed that PPD-HSA NPs had high bioavailability and were distributed in the liver, spleen, and lymph nodes. Pharmacodynamic studies confirmed that PPD-HSA NPs effectively promoted white blood cell levels and alleviated myelosuppression.

Summary: The study found that silver nanoparticles reduced with ethyl cellulose polymer (AgNPs-EC) have an inhibitory effect on TNF-alpha expression in breast cancer cells, with low cytotoxicity. This suggests the potential use of AgNPs-EC in the development of novel, safe approaches for cancer treatment in the future.

Summary: The study developed a nanoparticulate system using ethyl cellulose for encapsulation of sparingly soluble active pharmaceutical ingredients such as CBD and CUR. By controlling process parameters and incorporating stabilizing lipids, the nanoparticles showed improved yield and active ingredient-to-polymer ratio. The nanoparticles demonstrated low toxicity in keratinocytes and effective internalization, suggesting their potential for dermal delivery.

Summary: This study evaluated the miscibility of cellulose derivatives to enhance the release rate and stability of microparticles containing a weakly basic drug, itraconazole (ITZ). The effect of organic acids on the microenvironmental pH (pHm) and ITZ release was also investigated. In a rabbit model, the synergistic effect of cellulose-based microparticles and pHm modulators on ITZ bioavailability was compared with the reference product. The results showed that ITZ, hydroxypropyl methylcellulose, and hydroxypropyl methylcellulose phthalate exhibited miscibility and the stability of microparticles was maintained for 6 months. Integration of cellulose-based microparticles and pHm modulators significantly increased the flux and relative bioavailability of ITZ and its active metabolite OH-ITZ.
