Summary: This scoping review synthesizes the literature on teleconsultations with adolescents, aiming to provide guidance for healthcare professionals. The results indicate a lack of sufficient evidence on the complexities of conducting teleconsultations with adolescents, and further research and solutions are needed for the existing issues.

Summary: This article documents the contributions of Field Epidemiology Training Program (FETP) trainees and graduates to global COVID-19 preparedness and response efforts. Surveys and qualitative analysis were conducted to quantify their engagement and identify common themes in their activities. The findings show that both trainees and graduates were extensively involved in response activities, with graduates being more frequently engaged. Common themes included epidemiology and surveillance, risk communication, monitoring and assessment, logistics and operations management, training and capacity building, and guideline and protocol development. These findings highlight the wide-ranging utility of FETPs in strengthening countries' emergency response capacity and advancing global health security.

Summary: This study aimed to identify the factors that determine the use and willingness to use telemedicine (TM) among German general practitioners and rheumatologists. The results showed a close connection between healthcare professionals' knowledge of TM and its actual use. These findings suggest the importance of integrating digital competencies into medical education and providing hands-on training for healthcare professionals.

Summary: This study aims to identify the factors that determine patients' willingness to try telemedicine (TM) and their wish that their rheumatologists offer TM services. The results showed that health status, knowledge, age, and access to technical equipment and infrastructure influence the motivation of patients with rheumatic and musculoskeletal disease (RMD) to use telehealth services. Older patients living in rural areas, who could likely benefit from TM, are currently not motivated to use it and need additional support.

Summary: IM interns generally lack training or clinical experience in telehealth, although they have positive attitudes towards video and phone visits. The majority of interns believe video visits may be more effective than phone visits, and the COVID-19 pandemic has impacted their clinical preparedness. While most interns feel prepared for primary care, only a small percentage feel prepared to deliver primary care using video or phone visits. Residency programs may need to address these training gaps.

Summary: This paper presents a multi-criteria classification of Vocational and Educational Programs in Extremadura (Spain) from 2009 to 2016, using TOPSIS method and a new decision support method. The study integrates detailed information of individuals finishing such studies with their labor data for ranking, and compares a new worst-best case scenario analysis method with a well-known global sensitivity analysis technique.

Summary: The study on Educational Robotics (ER) teacher training reveals issues with the lack of uniformity in program duration and requirements, incomplete documentation of trainer and trainee profiles, and the foundation of training programs on constructivism, inquiry-based learning, or project-based learning. Best practices for ER teacher training include collaboration, materials, pedagogy, practice, and feedback/support.

Summary: The survey results indicate that German rheumatologists and general practitioners have high acceptance but low actual usage of telerheumatology care. Barriers include technology equipment purchase, administration, and poor reimbursement. Physicians prefer communication with other physicians, see the potential of telemedicine in follow-up phases, and believe that training courses are needed to improve knowledge.

Summary: The prevalence of formal robotic surgery curricula in general surgery residency programs in the United States is over 70%, with most programs starting the curriculum in PGY1 or PGY2 and allowing residents to participate in bedside assisting and robotic console operation in the first 3 years of residency. The importance of robotic surgery training in general surgery is emphasized by programs offering formal curricula compared to those that do not.

Summary: The objective of this study was to compare parental reports of recent diagnoses of anxiety, depression, and/or behavioral/conduct disorder among former preterm and term adolescents of different racial/ethnic backgrounds, and to evaluate the receipt of mental healthcare within the past year among those adolescents with any of these conditions. The results showed that the prevalence of these diagnoses was significantly higher among former preterm adolescents, and race/ethnicity had a significant impact on the adjusted odds of emotional/behavioral disorders during adolescence. However, both preterm birth and race/ethnicity did not significantly influence the adjusted odds of receiving mental healthcare among adolescents with these diagnoses.
