Summary: This study compared the effects of Vestibular Rehabilitation (VR) and Conventional Physical Exercise (CPE) on patients with fibromyalgia syndrome. The results showed that both VR and CPE were effective in improving the health status, balance, vertical perception, and the number of falls in patients. However, VR provided additional improvements in these aspects.

Summary: This study compared the effects of sensorimotor training (SMT) combined with short-foot exercise (SFE) versus SMT alone on postural stability in flat-footed patients. The results showed significant improvements in static and dynamic balance in the SMT combined with SFE group. The combination of SMT and SFE was found to be superior to SMT alone in improving postural balance control in clinical settings.

Summary: The study aimed to evaluate the impact of combined stretching and strengthening exercise on static and dynamic sitting postural balance using a rehabilitation exercise system with a linear actuator and MR damper. Results showed that postural balance was improved after exercise, with body pressure distributions increasing on the dominant side and decreasing on the non-dominant side. Additionally, trunk muscle activities on the non-predominant side significantly increased after exercise.

Summary: This study examined the psychometric properties of the Slovene version of the Activities-specific Balance Confidence (ABC) scale using Rasch analysis, and found that the simplified scale is a valid and reliable measure for individuals with lower-limb amputation. The study also demonstrated the possibility of transforming the ordinal summed raw scores of the ABC-5/SLO into interval-level measurements using a nomogram.

Summary: This study compared the proprioception of the cervical region in fibromyalgia syndrome (FMS) patients with a healthy control group and examined the relationship between cervical proprioception impairment and loss of balance. The results showed that FMS patients had impaired cervical proprioception and balance, which worsened with increased disease activity and fatigue level.

Summary: The study found that approximately 70% of subjects with Fibromyalgia Syndrome (FMS) showed some alteration in the perception of visual verticality (VV), with 60% of these patients being visually dependent. The Subjective Visual Vertical (SVV) test correlated with the impact and health status of FMS, while the Rod and Frame test (RFT) correlated with alterations in dynamic balance.

Summary: The aim of this study was to determine the frequency of adverse events and attacks related to vaccination in recipients of CoronaVac and BNT162b2 in familial Mediterranean fever (FMF) patients, and to investigate whether a history of prior COVID-19 infection or a booster dose increased the occurrence of adverse events/attacks. The results showed that a considerable number of FMF patients experienced vaccine-related adverse events/attacks, particularly with the BNT162b2 vaccine. However, no serious events or deaths due to vaccination were detected. Demographic, clinical characteristics, and prior history of vaccination did not significantly affect the results. An increased rate of adverse events/attacks was observed with booster dose administration.

Summary: In this study, it was found that one third of symptomatic pSS patients had objective neurological involvement. Patients with neurological involvement had a higher frequency of certain clinical features, including positive Schirmer's test, anti-Ro/SS-A and anti-La/SS-B antibodies, and the presence of interstitial lung disease, articular involvement, lymphadenopathy, anemia, and hypocomplementemia. Articular involvement was identified as a higher risk factor for the development of neurological involvement.

Summary: This study aimed to determine the association between the presence of non-criteria antiphospholipid antibodies (aPLs) and the clinical and laboratory features of patients with antiphospholipid syndrome (APS). 80 patients diagnosed with APS were assessed, and the presence of non-criteria antibodies was documented. The study found that a significant number of APS patients tested positive for non-criteria antibodies, which may be linked to the immunological activity of systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE).
