Summary: This pilot study described the implementation of a parent and child ADHD screening protocol in urban pediatric primary care clinics. The screening completion rates were low and the study identified challenges such as the divergence between provider enthusiasm and parent hesitation, as well as the difference between provider reality and parent preference. The findings highlight the importance of developing flexible screening approaches and cultural sensitivity when working with marginalized and under-resourced families.
