Summary: This study investigates the effect of rFVIIa on bleeding in lung transplant patients undergoing ECMO therapy. Results show that only 14% of rFVIIa administrations were effective in controlling bleeding, while 71% of patients required surgery for bleeding control. Although 84% of recommended preconditions were fulfilled, their fulfillment was not associated with rFVIIa efficacy. The incidence of thromboembolic events after rFVIIa administration was comparable to patients not receiving rFVIIa.

Summary: In recent years, the prevalence and mortality of pulmonary mycosis disease have increased significantly. Limited research has been conducted on treating pulmonary mycosis with bronchoscopic instillation of amphotericin B. This study investigated the clinical efficacy and safety of this treatment and found it to be safe and effective.

Summary: G-CSF, commonly used in healthy adults prior to stem cell donation, can lead to rare but life-threatening pulmonary adverse events such as diffuse alveolar hemorrhage. Healthcare providers should be aware of this potential complication.

Summary: DAH after HCT has a low incidence rate but high mortality rate, requiring attention. Multiple factors may influence the incidence rate, mortality rate, and risk factors, including time of onset, platelet count, and the need for invasive mechanical ventilation. For treatment outcomes, lower doses of steroids may help improve patient survival.

Summary: The study showed that erythropoietin (EPO) can alleviate diffuse alveolar hemorrhage (DAH) by reducing macrophage recruitment and promoting phenotype switch, suggesting its potential as a therapeutic agent for DAH. Further research is needed to validate the direct target of miR-494-3p in regulating JAK2/STAT3 signaling transduction.

Summary: The study summarized evidence from three different sources demonstrating the efficacy and safety of rFVIIa in patients with GT without refractoriness or antibodies to platelets, supporting the label extension of rFVIIa as an alternative treatment when platelets are unavailable.

Summary: Diffuse alveolar hemorrhage is a rare condition with diverse etiologies, where cardiac diseases are often underestimated causes, particularly heart failure and mitral valve diseases being the most common. DAH is typically caused by the stress failure of pulmonary capillaries due to pulmonary venous hypertension, with a contribution from the bronchial circulation.

Summary: Steroid myopathy is a side effect of glucocorticoid treatment, which can occur even in pediatric patients as shown in this case study. It is important to consider the possibility of steroid myopathy when patients with respiratory diseases experience decreased muscle strength following glucocorticoid therapy.

Summary: This case report highlights an uncommon presentation of delayed pulmonary hemorrhage after snakebite envenoming. The patient showed initial venom-induced consumption coagulopathy followed by diffuse alveolar hemorrhage (DAH), which was successfully treated with immunosuppressants and plasma exchange. Although persistent hypofibrinogenemia was observed, the patient remained healthy during the follow-up period.

Summary: Diffuse alveolar hemorrhage (DAH) is a serious disease with main symptoms of hemoptysis and dyspnea, and ECMO can provide oxygenation support when mechanical ventilation fails. Early initiation of V-V ECMO can rescue patients' lives.

Summary: Hemorrhage in patients with hematologic malignancies is challenging to manage due to coagulopathy and thrombocytopenia. Recombinant FVIIa has been used as a last resort in various clinical settings to control bleeding, with variable outcomes. This case report presents the use of recombinant FVIIa in a patient with multiple myeloma and profound transfusion refractory thrombocytopenia suffering from traumatic subdural hematoma.

Summary: Diffuse alveolar hemorrhage (DAH) is a life-threatening condition that can be difficult to control, especially in severe cases. This case report describes a patient with DAH caused by granulomatosis with polyangiitis, who showed improvement in hemostasis and oxygenation after receiving a lower dose of rFVIIa.
