A general and facile one-pot amination procedure for the synthesis of 2-aminopyridines from the corresponding pyridine-N-oxides is presented as a mild alternative to S(N)Ar chemistry. A variety of amines and heterocyclic-N-oxides participate effectively in this transformation which uses the phosphonium salt, PyBroP, as a means of substrate activation.

Wei Wei, Changyong Wang, Jianfeng Zhang, Lele Wang, Lei Wei, Hairong Huang

Summary: This study aims to explore the regulatory mechanism of lncRNA LINC01234 in non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). The results showed that LINC01234 was abundantly expressed in NSCLC cells. LINC01234 competitively bound to miR-433-3p and promoted GRB2 transcription to augment NSCLC cell malignant proliferation.

Acquisition of Visible Satellites Based on Antenna Arrays via Joint l1,1-Norms Minimization

Qiang Li, Lei Huang, Wei Liu, Lifang Feng, Xinzhu Chen

Summary: This work addresses the problem of acquiring visible satellites using an antenna array in the presence of impulsive noise. The joint angle and number estimation of visible satellites is formulated as a joint l(1,1)-norms minimization problem by exploiting the spatial sparsity of visible satellites. To obtain a closed-form solution, a generalized conjugate function for complex-valued matrix variable is introduced and the joint l(1,1)-norms minimization is transformed into a Lagrangian dual function maximization. The effectiveness of the proposed approach is demonstrated through numerical results.

Extracellular-matrix-mimicked 3D nanofiber and hydrogel interpenetrated wound dressing with a dynamic autoimmune-derived healing regulation ability based on wound exudate

Liheng Gao, Xingxing Liu, Wenshuo Zhao, Chaojin Li, Fujun Wang, Jing Gao, Xinqin Liao, Lei Wei, Hao Wu, Yuanjin Zheng, Lu Wang

Summary: Dynamic regulation of wound physiological signals is essential for wound healing. Conventional biomaterials delivering growth factors often lead to passive repair of soft tissues due to mismatch with wound healing stages, and wound exudate bioactivity is limited by oxidation and bacterial contamination. In this study, a nanofiber/hydrogel interpenetrated network (NFHIN) was developed to balance the wound microenvironment and collect and activate wound exudate for effective wound healing. The NFHIN showed promising potential in wound care for critical skin diseases.

Tanshinone IIA relieves arthritis by inhibiting autophagy of fibroblast-like synoviocytes via matrix metalloproteinase9/receptor for advanced glycation end product/toll-like receptor 9 signal axis in mice with collagen-induced arthritis

Wei Liu, Chenggao Wu, Qian Wang, Linju Kuang, Aiping Le

Summary: In this study, the researchers investigated the mechanisms by which Tanshinone IIA (TIIA) affects RA fibroblast-like synoviocytes (RA-FLSs). They used a mouse model of RA called collagen-induced arthritis (CIA) and manipulated matrix metalloproteinase9 (MMP9), receptor for advanced glycation end product (RAGE), and toll-like receptor 9 (TLR9) in both mice and RA-FLSs to study the effects of TIIA. The results showed that TIIA inhibited the proliferation of RA-FLSs, affected autophagy, and improved the symptoms of RA in mice by inhibiting the expression of MMP9 and the activation of TLR9 via the RAGE pathway.

Synthesis of hydroxyl silane coupling agent and its application in preparation of silane-modified polyurethane

Zhiqiang Guo, Huimin Shangguan, Qianwei Liu, Yinhe Li, Xingjiang Liu, Ailing Sun, Yuhan Li, Liuhe Wei

Summary: This study synthesized a hydroxyl silane coupling agent (HO-silane) through a click reaction and used it for moisture-cured silane-modified polyurethane (SPU) resin. The influence of the molar ratio of -NCO and -OH (r value) on the characteristics of SPU resins was investigated. A SPU resin with desirable properties and a silane-modified polyurethane (MS) sealant with high tensile strength and elongation at break could be produced using the synthesized HO-silane.

The Controllable Synthesis of High-Quality Two-Dimensional Iron Sulfide with Specific Phases

Bicheng Wang, Yu Yao, Wenting Hong, Zhaoan Hong, Xu He, Taiku Wang, Chuanyong Jian, Qiankun Ju, Qian Cai, Zhihua Sun, Wei Liu

Summary: A molecular sieve-assisted strategy is used to synthesize ultrathin 2D iron sulfide with different phases. Hexagonal FeS, tetragonal FeS, and non-stoichiometric Fe7S8 can be precisely synthesized by tuning the growth temperatures. The synthesized 2D iron sulfides exhibit high conductivity, superconductivity, and ferrimagnetism, providing a potential route for synthesizing other 2D compounds with different phases.

Role of maturity status on the quality and volatile properties of mango fruits dried by infrared radiation

Dantong Li, Taotao Dai, Mingshun Chen, Ruihong Liang, Wei Liu, Chengmei Liu, Jian Sun, Jun Chen, Lizhen Deng

Summary: The study investigated the changes in quality and volatile properties of mangoes at different ripening stages during infrared drying. Results showed variations in total soluble solids/titratable acid, texture, nutrient composition, and volatile compounds during drying. Fruits at RS-3 stage exhibited the highest increase in total phenolic content, the most dramatic decrease in vitamin C content, and the lowest decrease in beta-carotenoid contents. The evaluation score at RS-3 was the highest among all stages, indicating its superior quality.

Positioning and Contour Extraction of Autonomous Vehicles Based on Enhanced DOA Estimation by Large-Scale Arrays

He Xu, Wei Liu, Ming Jin, Ye Tian

Summary: This article proposes an AV positioning method based on DOA estimation under unknown mutual coupling, which achieves enhanced and closed-form DOA estimation by exploiting ULAs, Toeplitz rectification, and phase transformation. A more reliable subset/set of DOAs is constructed based on signal-to-noise ratio, and robust AV positioning is achieved with this subset/set. Additionally, an AV contour extraction scheme is developed using two antennas installed on the AV, showing improved resolution and accuracy, reduced computational complexity, robustness to mutual coupling and unreasonable DOA estimates, and effective AV contour information extraction.
