Summary: This study investigated the effectiveness of fascia lata packing and tension suturing in treating symptomatic pseudomeningocele after recurrent posterior cervical intradural tumor resection. The results indicate that this proposed procedure is simple, safe, and effective, allowing for rapid closure of any cerebrospinal fluid leakage pools.

Summary: Cytoreductive surgery for advanced ovarian cancer often requires diaphragm resection. In cases where simple closure is not possible, reconstruction using synthetic mesh is performed. However, this is contraindicated in the presence of intestinal resections due to the risk of bacterial contamination. Diaphragm reconstruction using autologous fascia lata is a safe and simple method, especially for patients with advanced ovarian cancer undergoing intestinal resections.

Summary: The combined technique of partial division of PRM and tailored LIS in the treatment of anismus resulted in significant improvement in symptoms and quality of life, with positive changes in HRAM and defecography postoperatively. Patients showed high satisfaction and a low incidence of complications after surgery.

Summary: This study describes a simplified technique for abductor repair using the transfer of gluteus maximus (Gmax) and tensor fascia lata (TFL) in revision total hip arthroplasty (THA). Although patients reported improved function after the reconstruction, there was still mild to moderate limping. Further research is needed to determine the efficacy of this technique and patient reported outcomes.

Summary: This study investigated the outcomes of patients with brachial plexus birth injury who underwent single-root reconstruction balanced across the anterior and posterior elements of the upper trunk. Results showed that reconstruction by grafting from the other upper-trunk root provided improved movement and functional outcomes. This strategy may be beneficial for patients with avulsion of 1 upper-trunk root.

Summary: This paper presents a case report of bronchoscopic fistula closure using autologous fascia lata graft placement in a patient with pulmonary squamous cell carcinoma. The esophageal stent was retained due to the high risk associated with its removal. After 7 months of treatment, no recurrence of tracheoesophageal fistula was observed.

Summary: This study assesses the efficacy of using autologous free fascia lata as a substitute for dura reconstruction in the treatment of multidrug-resistant gram-negative bacteria-induced intracranial infections. The results show that free fascia lata can be an effective option for dura reconstruction, leading to successful treatment of the infection when combined with appropriate antibiotic therapy.

Summary: In patients undergoing ASCR with minimally invasively harvested AFL grafts, there were minimal residual symptoms in the midterm clinical follow-up, and the vast majority of patients accepted the thigh symptoms, considering the improvement in shoulder function to be worth it.

Summary: The study found that the thickness of fascia lata varies at different sites, positively correlating with underlying muscle thickness and joint torque. In particular, it is associated with the characteristics of the semitendinosus muscle independent of physical constitution.

Summary: The study aimed to investigate histologic changes during the healing process associated with autologous fascia lata graft after Superior Capsule Reconstruction (SCR) in vivo. The results showed that the autograft regenerated the fibrocartilaginous insertion at both the greater tuberosity and superior glenoid, and the midsubstance of the grafted fascia remodeled into tendon- and/or ligament-like tissue, suggesting the capacity for graft-to-bone healing and remodeling after SCR.

Summary: This study aimed to investigate the incidence and factors affecting osteolysis following superior capsular reconstruction (SCR) using autologous tensor fascia lata graft. The results showed an incidence rate of 35.1% for osteolysis, but it was not associated with clinical outcomes or graft tear rate. The progression of the Hamada classification and the condition of the subscapularis tendon were found to affect the occurrence of osteolysis.

Summary: This study successfully used novel methods for phalloplasty to mimic the normal structure of the phallus and maintain the patient's ability to obtain sufficient hardness and subjective controllability. The methods included the use of bilateral pedicled gracilis muscle, pedicled fascia lata, and anterolateral thigh flap. Postoperative evaluations showed high patient satisfaction with the appearance and function of the neophallus.

Summary: Autologous fascial slings remain a valuable surgical option for female stress urinary incontinence, with high cure rates and low complications in the long-term. A case study of a 76-year-old woman who underwent radical cystectomy after 16 years of having an autologous rectus muscle fascial sling placed retropubically showed characteristics supporting its mechanical strength and viability upon histological evaluation.

Summary: This study introduces a new transvaginal approach using autologous rectus fascia graft augmented by bilateral sacrospinous ligament fixation to repair high-stage apical vaginal wall prolapse. With a follow-up of 12 months, the anatomical success rate was 92.3%, and the patients showed significant improvement in symptoms with few perioperative complications.
