Summary: This study introduces an automatic approach to extract anatomical landmarks and the PMHD from pelvic ultrasound images, as well as automatic segmentation of the levator-ani muscle. The experiments demonstrate the algorithm's high accuracy and potential for clinical applications and personalized treatment of PFD.

Summary: The research aims to evaluate HSV-1 seropositivity among pregnant women and its impact on pregnancy, childbirth, and newborns. The findings suggest that different titers of HSV-1 antibodies during different trimesters are associated with various complications such as threatened miscarriage, anemia, and placental insufficiency.

Summary: Fear of childbirth has negative effects on pregnant women during pregnancy and after birth. A study was conducted to evaluate the impact of a training program using motivational interview method on fear of childbirth, childbirth self-efficacy, and delivery mode among first-time pregnant women. Results showed that the program reduced fear of childbirth and increased childbirth self-efficacy, but had no effect on delivery mode.

Summary: Variations in the functionalities of materials of different dimensions can be attributed to their structural stability and morphology. The morphology of peptide assemblies can influence their interactions with biological systems and modulate their bioactivity. In this study, we report the fabrication of RGD-based supramolecular one-dimensional (1-D) and two-dimensional (2-D) assemblies as peptide-based myoblast growth accelerators, with the 2-D assembly being more effective in proliferating C2C12 cells than the 1-D assembly. These findings provide insights into the construction of optimal RGD-based supramolecular functional materials of different dimensions.

Summary: This scoping review examined the effectiveness of prenatal education on fear of childbirth, pain intensity during labour, childbirth experience, and postpartum psychological health. The findings showed that prenatal education and routine care may decrease fear of childbirth, postpartum depression, and pain intensity during labour. However, there is a lack of high-quality studies on childbirth experience and other outcomes.

Summary: This study assessed the effect of psychological interventions on the mental health, personal relationships, and quality of life of women who have subjectively experienced traumatic childbirth. Eight studies were included, and the results showed that psychological interventions effectively alleviated post-traumatic stress disorder symptoms, depression, and anxiety. However, there was insufficient evidence supporting the improvement of personal relationships and quality of life. Rating: 8/10.

Summary: The study found that attending childbirth preparation classes can help primiparous women better prepare for vaginal birth and is associated with a positive childbirth experience. Therefore, encouraging and supporting women to attend the full course of childbirth preparation classes can increase their preference for vaginal birth, resulting in a reduction in the caesarean section rate.

Summary: The objective of this study was to assess the effect of maternal prolonged oxygen exposure during labor on fetal acid-base status, fetal heart rate tracings, and umbilical cord arterial metabolites. The results showed that oxygen exposure did not affect the fetal acid-base status and high-risk fetal heart rate tracings, but it might result in alterations to the umbilical cord arterial metabolic profile.
