Summary: This study aims to review the relationship between professional empowerment and evidence-based practice in nursing and provide guidance for future interventions. Through the analysis of 477 studies, 9 articles were included in the review, and the results showed a close relationship between leadership, organization, empowerment, individual characteristics, and the use and implementation of evidence. However, more rigorous studies are needed to further verify this relationship.

Summary: The study showed that a training program significantly improved nurses' information literacy skills for Evidence-Based Practice in critical care units. Practical workshops and regular training courses are effective strategies for equipping nurses with these skills. Nurses can utilize these skills to provide high-quality, safe nursing care in clinical settings.

Summary: The aim of this study was to explore nursing students' views on the theory-practice gap in surgical nursing education and determine its relationship with attitudes towards the profession and evidence-based practice. The study found that most students perceived a gap between theory and practice in surgical nursing courses. Students who perceived a theory-practice gap had a more negative attitude toward the profession, while their attitudes toward evidence-based nursing were not different from others. These findings encourage further research to better understand the impact of the theory-practice gap on nursing students.

Summary: This study investigated the attitudes, knowledge, and skills of nursing students in evidence-based practice (EBP) and identified factors predicting EBP competency. The results showed that academic level, English-language reading skills, facing staff resistance, difficulties in obtaining full-text papers, and training in methodology and statistics were significant factors affecting EBP competency.

Summary: The review included 15 studies on nurse-led family interventions in adult critical care settings, categorizing interventions into educational/informational, family involvement in care, diary, communication, and bundled interventions. The findings suggest that interdisciplinary nurse-led family interventions can improve family outcomes in critical care settings.

Summary: This study aimed to explore the perceptions and experiences of academic and clinical nurses on academic-practice partnership in evidence-based practice. The results showed that academic-practice partnership is a necessary strategy to promote evidence-based practice, and different modes of partnership provide more opportunities for both academic and clinical nurses. However, there are also challenges in building effective partnerships. A good academic-practice partnership can create a win-win situation for nursing academia and clinical practice.

Summary: This study explored the perceptions of final year student nurses regarding their preparation for evidence-based nursing (EBN) practice and its current implementation. The majority of participants preferred asking a colleague for decision-making information. Barriers to EBN practice included difficulty finding required information, lack of time for searching, and inability to interpret information. The unresolved theory-practice gap and the status of nurses were identified as additional barriers.

Summary: This study aims to understand the expectations, acceptability, and challenges of implementing advanced practice nursing in Gabon. The results indicate that the implementation of advanced practice nursing is generally well accepted, but there are barriers such as the absence of a legal framework and a lack of recognition of nursing skills. To successfully implement advanced practice nursing, it is important to establish a legal framework, raise awareness, and provide training.

Summary: This study evaluates the impact of specific training within the framework of the Best Practice Spotlight Organization (R) program on nurses' evidence-based practice competence and practice environment. The results show that trained nurses have better evidence-based practice competence and more positive perceptions of the practice environment than those who have not received the training.

Summary: With the continuous development of ship design and application requirements, the deterministic design optimization based on design conditions has been difficult to meet the current demands of ship design. Therefore, the researchers propose higher requirements for the robustness and reliability of the ship scheme under the influence of uncertainty. This study uses evidence theory to model the interval variables of epistemic uncertainty and analyzes the influence of mixed uncertainty on constraints and objective functions. By applying this method to the engineering optimization of a bulk carrier, the optimal scheme under mixed uncertainty is obtained, which has better reliability and robustness than the deterministic optimal scheme.
