Summary: The use of mobile phones in healthcare provides unique opportunities, but mHealth projects have been small and isolated. The lack of evidence on project performance hinders scalability and limits best practice development. Public-private networks offer potential for successful innovation. This study analyzes collaboration patterns in the mHealth ecosystem and identifies factors associated with project survival.

Summary: The use of mobile phones in healthcare presents unique opportunities, but the lack of evidence and funding has hampered the scaling up of mHealth projects. Public-private networks may offer successful innovation, with projects involving local partners and a diverse range of organizations more likely to survive. Initiatives targeting communicable diseases in lower-income economies are less likely to succeed.

Summary: Efforts have been made to research on offloading traffic from cellular links to direct communications among users due to the rapid growth of traffic in recent years. A framework called TOSS was proposed, which aims to offload SNS-based cellular traffic by user-to-user sharing in mobile social networks. Users are selected based on their content spreading impacts in online SNSs and mobility patterns in offline MSNs, and they share content via opportunistic local connectivity using options like Bluetooth, Wi-Fi Direct, and Device-to-Device in LTE. The effectiveness of TOSS was further proven through analysis of mobility traces and online SNS trace.

Summary: The purpose of the study is to provide evidence on the health outcomes of care experienced children compared with children in the general population. Data shows that care experienced children have poorer health outcomes in terms of mortality, prescriptions, and hospitalisations. They also tend to have lower socioeconomic status at birth and live in areas with higher deprivation.

Summary: This study aimed to investigate the relationship between the properties of social networks and resilient-related status. The findings revealed that social network size was positively associated with the resilient group, while intimacy showed a negative association. Furthermore, regardless of age and sex, an increase in each social network property decreased the likelihood of being categorized into the depression group.

Summary: This systematic review analyzes the effects of economic empowerment interventions at the household, community, and national levels on antenatal care outcomes in low-income and middle-income countries. The majority of included studies found a positive association between household-level and community-level interventions and the number of ANC visits women received. The study highlights the need for more national-level economic empowerment interventions, expanded definition of economic empowerment, and standardized measurement of ANC outcomes globally.

Summary: This review summarizes the available evidence on mHealth interventions aiming to increase the utilization of Maternal and Child Health (MCH) care services, and investigates the barriers to mHealth adoption among healthcare workers and beneficiaries. The findings suggest that mHealth interventions can improve access to MCH services, but further studies with larger sample sizes and stronger research designs are recommended.

Summary: This systematic review examined the readiness of the primary healthcare system for preventing and managing non-communicable diseases (NCDs). The findings showed that the health system's readiness at the primary healthcare level is insufficient, particularly in the areas of chronic respiratory diseases, cardiovascular diseases, and cancer. Further research is needed to understand the demand-side components of the health system's readiness.
