Brunneiapiospora brasiliensis sp. nov, from Elaeis guineensis (Arecaceae) found in Pernambuco State, Brazil, is introduced in this paper. It differs from other congeneric species mainly by its ascospore size and shape. The new species is described, illustrated, and compared with similar species.
