Summary: This paper addresses the Mach limit problem for the Euler equations in an exterior domain with an analytic boundary. The authors prove the existence of tangential analytic vector fields and introduce an analytic norm for the exterior domain. They also demonstrate the uniform boundedness of solutions in the analytic space and establish the Mach limit holds in the analytic norm. These results are further extended to Gevrey initial data with convergence in a Gevrey norm.

Summary: In this paper, a new multifractal dimension of mass function is proposed by introducing parameter a to generalize the existing dimension. Furthermore, the relationship between the belief degree of focal element and the number of focal element with same belief degree is explored based on the inspiration from the multifractal spectrum of Cantor set, and the relevant results are presented by spectrum. Additionally, a static discounting coefficient generating method is provided to improve the accuracy of classify result of mass function, and the experiment conducted in three datasets shows the effectiveness of our method.

Summary: In this paper, a framework for the construction of Moran set driven by dynamics is established. Under this framework, the Hausdorff dimension of the generalized intrinsic level set with respect to the given ergodic measure is studied in a class of non-uniformly hyperbolic interval maps with finitely many branches.

Summary: This paper demonstrates the use of PDE-based graph methods for modern machine learning applications, focusing on a case study of body-worn video classification. By utilizing physics-based machine learning with classical ideas like optical flow, along with linear mixture models and PDE-based graph classification methods, it allows for effective video analysis with modest training data while also protecting privacy.

Summary: We numerically study the properties of entanglement of two interacting or noninteracting particles in a regime of quantum chaos in the quantum Chirikov standard map. The results show unusual features of the entropy of entanglement and the spectrum of Schmidt decomposition with their dependence on interactions at different quantum chaos regimes.

Summary: This paper presents a method called LASPM-CPSO which uses Lyapunov's artificial small parameter method with continuous particle swarm optimization to solve nonlinear differential equations. The proposed method is evaluated using three different examples and shown to be more reliable and efficient compared to the classical LASPM method.

Summary: The study utilizes fractal dimensions and singularity spectrum attributes to characterize reservoir fluids, highlighting significant differences between oil and gas. Gas typically shows high regularization dimensions, low box dimensions, and strong singularities, while oil exhibits a broader range of attributes and high box dimensions.

Summary: This article introduces a new method for characterizing the multifractal spectrum of short time series using a generalization of Higuchi's estimator. The method obtains reliable estimates of the multifractal spectrum by considering the order-q moments of the partition function of the time series graph at different levels of subsampling.

Summary: In this study, a cascading failure model for multimodal transport network is built, considering recovery mechanisms and dynamics. Nine attack strategies are formulated and their effectiveness is evaluated. Results show that attack strategies based on high node closeness are more effective in causing damage to the network. Sensitivity analysis suggests that the high-closeness attacking strategy is the most effective. Therefore, future studies on cascading failure of multimodal transport networks should prioritize nodes with high closeness.

Summary: This study conducted a multifractal analysis on the particle dispersion state of self-assembled aggregates to understand their distribution and morphology, and compared the results with sintered samples. It was found that the dispersion state of the sintered sample changed similarly to the simulation, confirming the validity of using simulation results as reference for distribution state. These findings should contribute to the development of improved functional composite materials.

Summary: We investigate the asymptotic properties of the Boussinesq equations with vanishing thermal diffusivity in a bounded domain with no-slip boundary conditions. The dissipations of the L2 norm of velocity and its gradient, the convergence of the L2 norm of Au, and an o(1)-type exponential growth for IIA3/2uIIL2 are shown. Additionally, we obtain that the gradient of vorticity in the interior of the domain is bounded by a polynomial function of time.

Summary: The study investigated the internal mesocrack characteristics of recycled aggregate concrete under uniaxial compressive loading using X-ray computed tomography. It was found that the number, width, tortuosity, and density of mesocracks decrease with increasing recycled coarse aggregate replacement rate. The fractal dimension of mesocracks ranged from 1.19 to 1.32 for 2D images and 2.18 to 2.39 for 3D structures, showing a correlation with the RCA replacement rate.

Summary: The success of deep learning has revealed the application potential of neural networks across the sciences and opened up fundamental theoretical problems. Statistical physics results suggest that wide flat minima arise as complex extensive structures, formed from the coalescence of minima around high-margin configurations, and have a significant impact on the generalization performance of neural networks.
