Summary: This review analyzes the progress made in drug repurposing for Alzheimer's disease (AD) over the past decade, summarizing suggested drug candidates and examining changes in repurposing strategies. The study finds that a large number of potential drug repurposing candidates have been proposed, but no single top candidate has emerged.

Summary: A bibliometric analysis was conducted to analyze the research status and frontiers in the field of antiphospholipid syndrome (APS). The study identified the most productive countries, institutions, journals, authors, and research foci in APS research. The analysis suggests that clinical studies on treatment and mechanism research of APS are promising research hotspots. Future research should focus on neutrophil extracellular trap, direct oral anticoagulant, open label, outcome, hydroxychloroquine, and arterial thrombosis.

Summary: This study aimed to report injury claim data in Ladies Gaelic football in Ireland over a period of 2012-2020 and examine trends over time. The study found that claim rates remained prevalent, but claim costs increased significantly during this time. Lower extremity injuries, especially knee injuries, were the most common type of injury, emphasizing the need for investment in injury prevention strategies.

Summary: This study explored the effects of Mediterranean diet, non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD), and inflammation on the 10-year cardiovascular disease (CVD) risk in healthy adults. The presence of NAFLD was associated with increased 10-year CVD incidence, but this association was no longer significant when adjusted for Mediterranean diet adherence. Adherence to Mediterranean diet was independently and directly related to lower 10-year CVD risk, regardless of NAFLD status and CRP levels.

Summary: This study conducted a bibliometric analysis to evaluate current publication trends and hotspots in herpes zoster research worldwide. The findings showed that herpes zoster vaccines, molecular mechanisms, and postherpetic neuralgia are the main research focuses. The study also identified the subunit vaccine as a new hotspot in the field. Preventing varicella zoster virus infection is crucial for improving herpes zoster outcomes.

Summary: Postpartum readmissions are an important marker of maternal morbidity after hospital childbirth. Most readmissions do not have evidence of severe maternal morbidity. This study found that in addition to severe maternal morbidity at delivery, other factors such as mental health issues, chronic hypertension, and pre-pregnancy diabetes were associated with readmissions.

Summary: In the early stage of building design, typical meteorological year (TMY) is insufficient for simulating building energy consumption under extreme weather conditions. This paper proposes a new method, called extreme building energy year (EBEY), which takes into account various meteorological parameters and calculates extreme intensity and occurrence time using dynamic thresholds. The results demonstrate that EBEY outperforms temperature-only extreme years, radiation-only extreme years, extreme meteorological years (EMY), typical cold years (TCY), and typical hot years (THY) in simulating building energy consumption under extreme weather conditions. Furthermore, combining TMY and EBEY data reduces the number of simulations without sacrificing accuracy.

Summary: Nonylphenol (NP) exposure in 7-year-old Japanese children was investigated using human biomonitoring data. The study found that OH-NP and oxo-NP are effective biomarkers for measuring NP exposure. The NP daily intakes in children were close to but lower than the current provisional tolerable daily intake. Additionally, a weak association between urinary OH-NP and oxidative stress biomarkers was observed.
