Summary: This study aimed to investigate the relationships between turnover intention and related constructs in an abusive supervision climate. The results showed that abusive supervision, workplace incivility, and bullying have a positive effect on turnover intention as hypothesized. Abusive supervision was found to have a significant and positive effect on workplace incivility and bullying, with partial mediating effects of workplace bullying, incivility, and ostracism on the relationship between abusive supervision and turnover intention.

Summary: Cardiovascular diseases are the most common causes of hospitalization, death and disability in Europe. Despite our knowledge of cardiovascular risk factors, morbidity and mortality remain high, resulting in significant social and economic costs. Diet is a potentially modifiable risk factor, and the relationship between the gut microbiome, diet, and cardiovascular diseases is complex and not fully understood.

Summary: The study found that the rates of intimate partner violence (IPV) for Indigenous women worldwide are significant, but few studies have explored the impact of colonization on IPV. This study examined the experiences of 40 Indigenous women from Canadian prairie provinces who were abused by their partners. The women discussed how colonization, including residential schools, had disrupted their family life, spiritual beliefs, and languages, sometimes leading to IPV. The study also found that male partners were the abusers in 38 cases, while two cases involved female abusive partners. Physical assault was prevalent, with many women experiencing severe injuries and being at risk of death. Almost half of the men used sexually coercive strategies and/or sexually assaulted the women. The implications highlight the need for professionals to consider the historical experiences and potential trauma of Indigenous women seeking help for IPV.

Summary: Bystander interventions aim to address violence as a community problem and encourage individuals to act as proactive bystanders. This study conducts a qualitative analysis of existing literature to explore university students' perspectives on barriers and facilitators of bystander interventions. The findings highlight the impact of alcohol, beliefs about responsibility, peer perceptions, situational dilemmas, and the role of friendship and group dynamics. Understanding these perspectives can inform the development of more effective bystander intervention programs.

Summary: This study identified the development trajectory of depression in Chinese left-behind children (LBC) compared to non-left-behind children (NLBC) over a three-wave tracking test. It further investigated the effects of three kinships' support (parental support, grandparents' support, relatives' support) on LBC's depression. The results revealed a linear increase in LBC's depression over time and the significant role of parental support in reducing the initial level of LBC's depression.

Summary: In neuroscience, the term "stress" is often associated with negative consequences, but resilience is actually a more common reaction to stress. It is important to differentiate between stress conditions and trauma in research terminology, as this can impact how we understand and study stress-related pathologies and resilience mechanisms.
